Crawford County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Anthony Vardaro said he’s not sure how soon he may rule whether Conneaut Lake Park will go to a sheriff’s sale. Conneaut Lake Park is set to go to a sheriff’s sale Dec. 5 to force payment of more than $925,000 in overdue real estate taxes, penalties and interest owed to Conneaut School District, Crawford County and Sadsbury and Summit townships, dating back to 1997.

How much revenue does this park generate in a typical operating season? How much do you think it would cost to bring this place up to a quality standard (repairs, infrastructure, etc)? Would it be a good investment for someone to try and save or does the place continue to hemorrhage money? In other words, is it profitable, but the old tax bill is what's crippling them?

From what I see (strictly from interweb & TV), I imagine the land is worth more than the park. But then look how Geauga Lake turned out in that regard...

Maybe Kennywood or Knoebel's should buy it just to close it? **DUCK&COVER**

But then again, what do I know?
