A judge has decided Jacob “Jack” Falfas, the former No. 2 executive at Cedar Fair, will not get his job back. Still, Erie County Common Pleas Court Judge Roger Binette awarded Cedar Fair’s former chief operating officer the remaining pay he’s entitled to under contract. Falfas either quit, or was fired, depending on the testimony you believe, in June 2010 in a dispute with former CEO Dick Kinzel.

Two things:
I'm glad Falfas gets the money owed and I believe he was let go of unfairly.
I'm glad that he isn't getting the job back. There. I said it. He seems like a great guy, but I'm happy that Oimet is where he is and I'm glad he'll be able to rid CFEC of the remains of Dick.
Obviously just my opinions.
Yeah, the whole situation sucks for Falfas, but there's no question in my mind that getting Ouimet in that corner office is the best thing that has happened to Cedar Fair in the last decade.

Disneyland is still benefitting from his tenure, and I can only hope that he's able to do likewise for Cedar Fair.
I agree that it sucks for Falfas. But, if a bad decision awarded me somewhere between 2 and 4 million dollars I think I would be able to sleep at night. And, I understand he is doing fine now in the consulting world.
This is another blemish on an old man who stayed too long and the Board of Directors who let him. When you start adding up the costs of of Dick's bad decisions the numbers are getting up there.
Falfas is a good guy. Cedar Point was in his blood. Be that as it may, he stood by for a lot of years while Kinzel was making those bad decisions and I think most inside the company and even those who had some connections on the outside would agree that Kinzel should have been challenged more often.
This is one more step to closing the book on the Kinzel years. Work remains. He needs to be off the Board and at least one GM still needs to be replaced. But, it is still another step in the right direction.
I hope this can give Jack some piece of mind about what happened. Hopefully the door stays open for him to have a good relationship with the company now that everything is over.
I wonder if he moved out of Ohio?
To his credit, Falfas had a reputation for a lot of "block and tackle" so some people could get things done without Dick getting in the way, but I have no idea how far that effort extended.

Perhaps. On the other hand, it's possible that the only thing that would have resulted in is him "quitting"/"being fired" earlier.
Here's a link to Jack's new company. I wonder if he is doing business with Cedar Point since Dick Kinzel is no longer involved.
That's a pretty terrible name. Not sure if it's "ream-use-ment" or "re-amusement."

I was thinking the same thing. Reminded me of Tosh.0's segment called world's most unfortunate domain names. Certainly not in the same category of what he's shown. But, still funny.
