Joyland will not open, operators evicted

Joyland Park owners Stan and Margaret Nelson on Friday posted a notice evicting the partners who operated the park last year, giving them three days to clear out. The notice declared that operators Michael Moodenbaugh and Robert Barnard had failed to make lease payments since January. The Nelsons have changed the locks, blocking Moodenbaugh and Barnard from returning.

The article says the Nelsons are packing rides and putting them into storage. Does this mean they're dismantling the park itself (like Bell's recently did) or is the article referring to little things that they're confusing with major fixtures like rides and buildings? Sounds to me like the park itself is leaving the ground... not sure why, though, since the Nelsons still own the land, right?
They are just storing the rides on sight maybe they expect a longer court battle this time.*** This post was edited by chris1970 4/28/2007 4:56:56 AM ***
Does anyone know how to contact Michael? I have information he needs for his lawsuit against the Nelsons. I have tried his cell phone but he has changed numbers since moving back to Florida.

Michael, if you happen to read this post, please call me. We talked on the phone the weekend after the fire at the Whacky Shack. You returned my call. I'm in Wichita. I can't disclose my name on the Net but I'm sure you know who I am. Please call.
