A year after Michael Moodenbaugh and Robert Barnard launched their quixotic revival of the amusement park, Joyland is only a little better off than it was. Today, it's unclear whether the park will open this spring, or even this year. Moodenbaugh said they spent all of the nearly $1 million they brought with them -- and more. The state of Kansas has sued to collect its unemployment tax and to get the pair to send W-2s to their former employees. Some former employees say they are owed money.
