Joyland in Wichita, KS

Does anyone know what the current status of Roller Coaster at Joyland in Wichita, Kansas is? I noticed over at the RCDB it is listed as SBNO since last year. I'm aware of the problems that the park faced this season and that they plan on being open next year but why was the coaster down this past season (or was it)?

Also, I realize that things may change until next season but is anyone familiar with when the park is open during the summer? It seems like a lot of smaller parks tend to have weird hours sometimes (like only being open certain days during the week or only in the evening) and was hopeing that someone from the area could give me an idea as to how the park operated in the past, as it doesn't have a website and the phone number over a RCDB no longer works. I'm planning on hitting this little heard about park on my travels next year and would like to know a little bit more about it. Thanks.

I was at the park this last season and the Roller Coaster was running perfectly. It is a great little ride and is an instant classic as soon as you ride it.

I am not really familiar with the parks hours, I don't live in Wichita but was visiting whenever we went.

The park operated very smoothly when I was there. All of the employees were friendly and down-to-earth. I was also really impressed with the quality of the rides even though some of them are 50 years old.

Here is the rides I remember that the park has...
-Roller Coaster
-Tilt a whirl
-Scrambler
-Bumper Cars
-Log Jam(Awesome log flume)
-Train
-Carousel
-Wacky Shack(Old cheesy dark ride)
-Bunjee Ride
-Couple 'o kids rides

Cedar Fair stock owner.
I beleive the park was closed for a large portion of this year because of an insurance problem, but the intention is to reopen next year.
The park will reopen. The stupid insurance company really was nasty to the owners this past year. It will reopen.
