Jolly Roger Amusement Park’s Splash Mountain Waterpark is adding a new attraction this year, the Aqua Loop, the only looping water slide on the east coast. The Aqua Loop will be the tallest water slide of Jolly Roger’s current offerings.

I think it's more of a 'horizontal loop' (like the one on Mind Bender at Six Flags Over Georgia - I think the park still claims it as the 2nd 'loop' out of 3...).
This park used to have a great awesome classic loop - King Kobra from Kings Dominion. It's now called Katapul at Hopi Hari in Brazil. Tangent, I know...
Jay Peak Vermont opened one of these in December.

Check out "Pump House Waterpark" - La Chute.
They even already had some sort of collision/accident inside the loop a few weeks back.
Never a dull moment,

While I have not ridden this slide, I have spoken to a few that have and from a rider experience, the ride kind of stinks. Since you are in an enclosed tube, traveling fast, you really have no perspective as to what is going on or where you are in the flume. And as with many body slides, I have been told that you get beat up pretty good as to travel through the flume. Doesn't seem that fun to me.
I have also spoken to two operators of this attraction and one indicated this would be the last slide they ever purchase from Whitewater. The other indicated that because of all of the electronics and photocells, the technology isn't good enough and the slide has frequent faults and downtime.
It is a prototype so I guess that is what you get. From a marketing perspective, what a great thing to put on the cover of your brouchure!
A double looping version is up and running:

Here is a loop slide:

slide of death, that is!
Action Park, NJ - long time out of service.
These new loop slides kinda remind me of an Arrow version of water coaster - those aren't loops. It's like half way between a loop and a water coaster...
