Joker's Jinx SFA question

I've been to SFA many times and always notice this but could never figure out what the reason behind it was. In the picture I have linked there is a area of round tubing surrounding a part of the track. You can see it just below the train. Is there was a tunnel was suppose to be? An extra feature not added?

That's where the mid-course brake would have been, I always just assumed it was some sort of half-arsed attempt at themeing/adding visual interest.
whoa RCDB says FoF at PKI can run 4 trains, how is that possible.
It's the closest thing to straight track on the ride. I thought it was something that had to do with an emergency evacuation of the ride.

Pretty Easy, one train in the station, one before the midcourse, one after, and one in unload.

I know they had four trains but I don't know if they ever actually ran four trains.

I have never seen them run more then 2, and I suspect the most ever ran during normal operation was 3.

I've never heard of it ever running 4.

Poltergeist and Mad Cobra don't have it, by the way. Not saying it's not possible, but pretty unlikely. I mean big green circles wouldn't really be the most practical thing to help with evacuation...

Those rings were installed there to provide an optical illusion as the train threads through it. It doesn't serve as an evacuation or mechanical part.

^By optical illusion do you just mean, like "visual interest" or is there actually some sort of illusion I'm not seeing?
Poltergeist had those same rings on it but they covered them to make it like a tunnel or something. It was removed before the ride opened.

^That was the original plan on JJ as well but due to firecode regulations the proposed tunnel wasn't implemented.
I like the "Because it looks cool" answer, but that's just me.
FoF at KI, did have 4 trains when it opened, but only ran 3. I dont know why they only run 2 now. It would be nice if they could run 3 again. I beleive they rotate train use from year to year. Last year they were one train with orange seats, this year that train is no where in sight.
