In light of the current media hyper about roller coasters being dangerous, I, with the help of a few other fellow coaster enthusiasts, started up CRAMB (Coaster Riders Against Markey's Bill). If you would like to join and take part in our efforts to fight Markey's Bill, then please visit

While it's good that you're taking a stand on something, you are basing your cause off of mis-information.

The bill will only allocate money to, and give jurisdiction to, the Consumer Product Safety Commission to regulate the rides. While he has gone off on tangents about G-forces (not understanding that bigger and faster isn't the issue), the proposed legislation has nothing to do with that.

As I said, it's good to take a stand, but if you're taking a stand against the wrong thing it dilutes the message.

What is their web address? Also, Jeff, if the CSPC gets jurisdiction over coaster they can quickly gain the power to regulate G forces.
