Johnson Country USA News?

Has anyone heard any "new" news on the new 2000 acre theme park being built just south of Memphis, TN that opens in 2004? The only thing I have heard is that they will have 8 operating roller coasters on opening day.

8 coasters? Whoa! Anyone know what they are? B&M? CCI? etc.

They are supposed to have 2 B&M creations and possible a CCI. I can't wait for spring 2004, I am there opening day! They are also to have some sort of flying coaster, either Vekoma or a new B&M flyer. Park construction starts fall 2002!

8 coasters? you've got to be kidding. This is one of the most bogus rumors I have ever heard. Most well established parks do not have 8 coasters and they have been in existence for 20 years. If this new theme park were to have 8 rollercoasters, they probably would not be the likes of B&M or Vekoma (although a CCI is likely). 8 rollercoasters, 2 from the likes of B&M would cost a fortune, and it would be a dumb investment, too risky. So, I can say that this is not going to happen. but if it did, it would be migthy nice.

Not kidding guys, it is supposed to open with 8 coasters. I have heard the layout for one, and man am I booking my flight now!
