I noticed at Magic Mountain, the station for Ninja looks exactly like that for jetstream. I also noticed that jetstream had a dual drop, or reminants of two. I imagine they performed this modification when they built Ninja. Does anyone know more about this? Seems like a lot of work to remove one whole side of Jetstream.
No, The Arrowhead Splashdown (recently known as Jet Stream) was a single track flume that ended in either of the two final drops. I assume this would allow operaters to dispatch boats at a faster rate, therefore increasing capacity and loading times. The reason for chopping off the connection to the second "now dead" flume is ... you answered it yourself. Ninja was built and it was in the way.
I heard that they use to let the jets race down the drops but took it out after they built Ninja.
what did the ninja station use to be? If you look down at the floor you can see a cut or groove in the floor with a large radius, similar to that of the loading station of jetstream. I assume thats also why you down a flight of stairs then up again before loading onto the train.
