Time for a little after-work fun with Danny J and the ever lovely Maria at America's roller coast. Arrived a little before six and snapped some photos of the new track. That was unexpected, as Dan and I intended to meet that day anyway. This is Stephanie's week off before she starts teaching/going to school again, so she was home chillin' for the evening.

When I got inside the park at the designated meeting area around Magnum, I was surprised to also see James "I'll-be-21-next-year" Draeger, Jeff "Natalie's Bizatch" Tobe, Hooper and some of the other characters from GTTP/CB. We headed to Wicked Twister, which had a line longer than any of us preferred to wait in.

Over to Raptor, 15-minute wait even on a crowded (I'm guessing 30,000+) day. That's the key... go around dinner time to score Raptor. It's funny how when you haven't been on a ride in a long time that it packs a harder punch than you remember. I got the tingly feeling in my butt several times. Raptor is one of few rides that can still do that to me.

"The second hill is sooooo cool!"

From there we consumed french fries. Dan informed me he had his first cheese-on-a-stick. I informed him he'd have his first heart attack tomorrow. I'll get the hospital address so you can send flowers.

Back to Millennium Force, wait was an hour, so we skipped it.

Off to Mean Streak, mostly to get a look at the stubby tan supports for the new ride. MS was actually running pretty well in the second half, but the squealing in the first half... ugh. Before boarding, Draegs and I noticed a very cute "suicide girl" on the train ahead of us. Nose ring, the right tattoos, the cutest little bob... I so dig that.

We boarded the train to head back up front. I missed my queue to chant "hump that fence" on a full train where the skeleton is, well, humping the fence under Snake River Falls. Sorry, Dan.

We zipped over to Wicked Twister which had a more manageable line. Well, until the ride-op stations locked shut without the ops in them and a fully loaded train. They unloaded the train, ran three test cycles and began boarding again. My guess it that the only thing the mechanics did was Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Here's the good news... Wicked Twister is running at full power again. It's kicking ass and taking names. Getting screwed in the rear never felt so good. What really surprised me this time was the feeling of sudden acceleration coming off the spikes in the second pass forward and back. You could really feel it. I'm convinced now that any of the back six rows are good enough for a great ride. I now regret not getting to ride this thing more.

Back to Chaos, Dan and I rode while Maria and Hooper sat out. The Eastern-European ride op girl was saying, "No ready" because some car wasn't locked down. Of course it was ours. It was kinda hot to hear her say, "No ready," over and over again. If it's not obvious, all of this fresh air was getting to me (and apparently going to my pants).

We finished the night on Magnum, which gave a very smooth and insanely airtimey ride. Very nice night even though it was crowded and I was there for just under four hours.

Of course, no trip to CP would be complete without comments on fasion. What's with the mullets? I mean, they're such a huge joke now that I can't imagine anyone would have them anymore.

I noticed a lot of nose rings too. That's a good trend because that's one of my "things." It's just strange that it has taken this long to catch on. Steph got hers in '97 I think, and while I've seen quite a few in other areas of the country, it hasn't been frequent around here. Good trend.

I'm glad to hear that WT is running at full power. That must mean that when i was there in mid-July it wasn't running at full power. This is good, because I thought it was a pretty dull ride in comparison to S:UEand V2. Now i know why - all the more reason to return next year.

And they're apparently pretty happy with their track mods, because they painted over all of the new diagonal cross-ties. One of the ride ops said they had been up pretty reliably, but they're still inspecting the track every day like crazy.

What exactly is cheese on a stick?

Cheese on a Stick - Take a corn dog and replace the hot dog with cheese.

Heaven if done correctly, like at Knoebel's. :)

This is great news! I'm taking my first trip to CP next week! Monday to Thursday - look out here I come!

The Other Siebert

1) Great to hear about WT. I knew something was up the entire month of July. It just wasn't right.....and I was beginning to edge S:UE a little more. Can't wait for Halloweekends.

2) Raptor: that same feeling occurs everytime for me.

3) Does anyone else notice the horny-ish emotions from the entire TR? Or is it just me? I mean: "Tingly feeling in my butt," "Screwed in the rear," "Nose ring....I so dig that," "No ready.....hot to hear her say that (and in my pants)." Was it Cedar Point's ambiance or is Spring re-occuring in the Fall? Did the arrousal level rise since the last time I visited?

Overall, good, solid, short TR! LOL!

There's nothing like a woodie...

Woo go Wicked Twister. I haven't been screwed in the rear yet this year, but now that the ride is at full screw, I am happy I can get a lot of full power rear screwing in during my annual Halloweekends visit.

Well, I am glad to hear that WT is back up and running to it's full potential. I will be back next year, hopefully 50 or so pounds lighter so that I too can get "screwed in the rear"!

About the Mullets... It seems that they are oblivious to the jokes and ridicule that are made at their expence. Or at least think that THEY look good, it must be the OTHER Mullet wearers that look rediculous.

You should interview Mullets as they exit CP's coasters and have a "Mullet ride review section" over on GTTP, or maybe Sillynonsense would be a better place for that?

I'm at a loss for words. Speechless.

Jay-Pizzie at Cee-Pizzie?

That was so painfully bad it took a couple days for me to realize you were even trying. The English language lacks a four-letter word severe enough to describe the pain.

I swear Brunswick should pass an ordinance banning all attempted usage of ebonics. Somebody call the cops. No, a SWAT team. Oh screw it--just have an F-15 drop something over the subdivision so no one has to know you typed that.

"He said what?!?!? Never mind, Mister Fireman--just let me burn. I don't even want your help now."

Thank You for challenging TOS: The Ride. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day, here at SFCB.

It's scary but I think the mullet is making an unwanted comeback! Although it does make the "spot the mullet game" a bit more fun. I've been seeing them around PA too. I saw one today at Knoebels actually. The best is the mullethawk. 8^D

Did you happen to take a picture of the "suicide girl", or should I say grrrl? Nothing wrong with some body jewelry!

Jay-Pizzie at Cee-Pizzie?

Hey... I wouldn't dare try to come up with something like that on my own. One of my best friends introduced me to his friends like that at his wedding two weekends ago. He is a bona fide black man skilled in the art of ebonics. He came up with the Cee-Pizzie too, as we were supposed to go sometime this summer.

Of course, it was later decided that Jay-Pizzie should be my porno name...
