Wrong... the IX Center has several years before it is removed, and that's only if an agreement is reached with Brookpark and a plan for a new convention center downtown materializes.

I don't see why people always rag on the indoor park. "It sucks"..."Lame"...IMO, the rides are much better than the Cuyahoga County Fair's each year minus the animals. What more can you ask for in a "small" building like the I-X Center? You want a 50' tall launched coaster going 90mph or something around the interior perimeter of the building? You're not going to get it. It was a fun time for me and it somewhat got me ready (or more anxious) for what's coming in less than two weeks...Cedar Point's opening day! But anyways, to sum up, I'm looking foreward to hopefully many more years at that old place!

Jeff's right. If all goes well, I would say it has at least 5 (maybe 8) more years left. From what the media and city is saying. Good news is, this year seemed to be a much more overall good feeling around the park. People just seemed to be having more fun than in past years. Also the entertainment was actually pretty entertaining this year :) The one reason I like going to the IX Amusement Park is because of the cycles and speed they run the rides...INTENSE!! It makes CP's Matterhorn feel like it's not even moving! Though as for the safety of some of the rides there... Overall, I'd say this was the best year for the park, people, food, and just overall in it's existence.

so you're saying that if the city doesn't reach an agreement with Brookpark then it might stay?

And is it possible to have a portable woodie?

What we're saying is that it doesn't matter, because either way the building is going to be there for a long time.
