I've got 6 hours@SFGAmerican-Help ME!

I have a band trip to Six Flags Great America, and I've only got 6 hours. I wish I had more time, but the timing of our concerts and awards ceremonies affects our coaster time. I'm going on a Saturday in mid-May. I know I want to definatly hit American Eagle. Can all you friendly Chicago Buzzers give me some help? Which coasters are your favorites? Which can you only find there (Whizzer?) Which order do I go in to get the most coasters in? How many coasters can I realisticly ride in 6 hours? Thanks a bunch...

Raging Bull, Viper, Whizzer, American Eagle. (I'd even say in that order) are must rides in my opinion.

Batman is a clone. Shockwave, Demon, and Iron Wolf are near clones.

(I'm writing this asuming that the new ones aren't open, but even they are clones.)

I almost forgot I definatly want to ride Shockwave. Thanks!

Go for it, but I wouldn't put it in front of the more unique and really special coasters there.
(There are 2 other near clones of Shockwave)

I've never been on either of them though, so it is all new to me. I've been to Cedar Point and (Geauga Lake), I'm going to PKI about a week after I go to Chicago on another school trip. Sure beats D.C. and Toronto!!

Raging Bull in the back seat; one of the best drops anywhere. Great air.

Do not miss Viper.

Batman is a clone, but I'd still list it in the "must ride" column.

If the new rides are open, they'll probably take up all 6 hours. They are both low capacity rides.

I agree that Batman is a must ride, but I didn't know if he had ridden one of the half a dozen other Batman clones. If not, check it out, it's an intense little guy!

The only BM invert I've rode is Raptor. So far I am definatly hitting Shockwave and American Eagle. So many coasters, so little time!!!

Well it will be pretty crowded on a Saturday. That and Sunday are the two most crowded days of the week. The Bull is going to have a long line (Pretty sure), and same with Batman, and Viper. The two rides that always have lines are Raging Bull and Batman:The Ride. You should try to hit Raging Bull first. Then hit Viper, and the Giant Drop. Head over to Batman:The Ride. On the way over you could hit Shockwave. If you have time left (Which you might not), I would suggest hitting American Eagle. Hope you have a good time!

I agree with Blink3020, that Bull and Viper are priority 1! I would hit Whizzer before anything else. It probably won't have a long wait, and it's a FUN and unique ride. I certainly don't know, but who knows how much longer it's going to be around.

Bull, Viper, AE, B:TR, Shockwave in that order. You'll make somewhat of a loop around the park and save some time. Save Whizzer for near the end. It usually has shorter lines that move quick. Iron Wolf and Demon can be saved for last if you have time. The new rides will probably have long lines if they're open and will cost lots of time.

Actually depending when you hit the park in may you might be able to get all of them in(excluding the new ones)that 6 hour block. If you ride AE, RB and Viper you will be doing great. Any enjoy your day! ;)

The Raging Bull #1!!
Also, don't look down on the Demon. Yes, it's an Arrow looper, but IMO, it's one of the better rides in the park. Most people would disagree with me, but I don't care. The first drop provides GREAT airtime in the back, and for the most part, the ride is pretty smooth. :)

You should not hit Iron Wolf, it may be original, but it hurts. Well, really it's just along line. I mean with the headache thing just lean in to it. MUST AND I MEAN MUST is... RAGING BULL. American Eagle red is good. Do the Giant Drop (not a coaster, but great), do Viper and Shockwave.

Georgia Scorcher...OH yeah it's fire baby!!!
Just ride Raging Bull all day!!!!!!!

Where's the love for Iron Wolf???
I know ChillnVilln, the Iron Wolf is a cool ride. I admit that it can bang you around sometimes, but just try to enjoy it. The ride is very unique if you have never been on a stand-up coaster before.

I like the way you think, Steven. ;)

If it were myself, I'd say hit Deja Vu first, then Bull, then Viper, then Whizzer, then BTR, V2, IW, AE, Demon, and finally Shockwave. In that order. Just some suggestions. You can't ever really follow a set schedule because some rides may open later or what not. Just go with the flow.

Bull, Viper and Batman for sure. I didn't get to do Whizzer on my visit, but it looks interesting.

If you get those down, then do Iron Wolf and Shockwave.

If you still have time, hit American Eagle.

All the B&M's should be ridden as well as Viper, Giant Drop, Eagle, and Whizzer. if V2 is open try it, if not head back to your home park and ride the original there. deja vu won't be open (I was there today and was told it will open mid to late June. seems a bit late to me. I've heard mid to late May). next up is Demon. the ride itself isn't special, but its the best Arrow that I've been on. last and certainly least (no typo there) is Shockwave. if it's anything like last year it will be too intense to enjoy and the line will consist of about five people. you might be better off riding one of its cousins (Viper at SFMM or Great American Scream Machine which is in the SF in NJ, I think). Batman is quite intense, but fun none the less. front seat = great view. back seats = great surprises. Iron Wolf is great, but front row only. btw they were testing Raging Bull today which almost got me into an accident on Rt. 41 today. that's one of the coolest sights ever. v2 wasn't test-running, but its presence was enough for me. the only bad part about today: I got lost 'cause my mom told me to not take the Grand Ave. exit due to construction when I would have been better off taking Grand Ave. in the first place. I think I drove around the park three times!
