I've been "published"! OK, so it's RC!, but...

So excited to have my first article in RC! Magazine, on (you guessed it) Wild Adventures....not denying that my photos leave something to be desired, but those of you playing at home know how HARD it was for me to keep the "word count" down. Oh well, that's why they call it EDITING, right...;).

I was astonished and pleasantly surprised, then I get the ACE newsletter and my pic's on the back cover...I am the one behind the "hippies"...LOL. Born the week Surrealistic Pillow comes out, then I get on Phoenix right behind the hippies...(I guess I'm just mean to follow them)....

gator - I forgot to ask: Were you able to read the first page of the fax copy I sent you? I wasn't too sure how it would come out with the dark cheetah skin background.

Yes, it looked pretty good....thanks! It came through pretty dark, but hey, who's complaining....I was SO happy to see my article got in, I still can't stand it. It was more of a rush than *some* of the coasters I've ridden (still not equal to the Ride of Steel, but what is?)...LOL. Thanks again...
good job

Americana is opening in 2002 and needs your support as many company picnics are already schedualed for someplace else, Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.

Bill,

Yea! I remember you mentioning something about not getting an article in ACE news. It looks like they decided to publish it in RC instead. Woo hoo!

I wrote one article last year (almost a year ago) about the junior coasters at PKI, and am working on an article right now that should be done by the end of the month depending on if I can get some things set up. My first article was about Son of Beast. I can share your enthusiasm because I was surprised to see my first article in RC also.

Congratulations, I liked the article. Keep up the good work!

I can't think of a good signature.

Anyone have the site where you can write articles? What do you write them on?

Cool Gator! Great job! How can I get my greasy hands on a copy? By the way, I finally got a job as a welder after being laid off for the last 6 months!!! WHEW!

Beer, my soon to be wife, coasters, and the FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Is this a great country or what!!

Congrats on the job. I was there too. The economy's recovering!

"I'll bet that thing hits 5 Gs going through that loop.....faaar ooouut!"

Too bad, our park just hired a welder and an electrician.
Congrats buddy! That's a great accomplishment. I still hope to contribute something to ACE someday.

Congrats on the job Barry! Oh what a happy day.....lol.

Don't.....look.....back! The Headless Horseman awaits you in 2002!
Model coasters and rides

Funny you should be behind the article, becuase I distinctly remember thinking the article being abnormally good for something in Roller Coaster magazine. Don't kick your self to hard about the photos, because, A. There have been much worse, and B. From your article, you make it seem as though the park hasn't finished landscaping the park anyway.

Very nice article... congrats on getting published, especially in a magazine where the readers can truly appreciate the work you did!

Thanks everyone....just goes to show I CAN use proper grammar, spelling and, heaven forbid.....punctuation. You all may be used to my....ellipses....by now, but they really are poor writing.....actually, they're places where my brain stops to rest......;)

Also funny how "gender-bending" came up in the female 'buzzers thread. If you look at the pic on the back of the Newsletter, it really DOES look like a woman behind the hippies....(it's not, just me with bloodshot eyeballs hanging from the rims of my glasses - guess I didn't get much sleep at PPP)...

Did anyone else JUST get the Nov/Dec issue of ACE News or is my delivery all screwed up?
B&M Webmaster:
I just got it today (4/2).

You are bold, but are you also...daring?
Thanks, I found it odd since some of the registration dates for events have already passed.
