Its Official- Power Dive at SFGAm is gone

Went to SFGAm yesterday. wernt too many people there so it was fun. Got on all the rides except Deja Vu which is still broken. What a piece of Sh** ride. I am getting really fed up with going and it never working. Anyway went past power dive and a crane was dismantalling the whole thing. Maybe that ferris wheel that was rumored really will go where power dive was.
That's funny I also read somewhere that SFGAm was getting ride of their enterprise as well, what is it with SF and enterprise rides? first SFA's skyescaper is removed followed by SFGAm's.As for Power dive,if it was anything like PKD's berserker then you should be glad they are getting rid of it,that thing hurts your body to no end.
The enterprise is just fine, it's going no where. The opening weekend it was sitting in pieces, and as of at least Friday, it's completely assembled, probably waiting for an operating licenese from the state. There is nothing 'followed by SFGAm's' about the Orbit. It is just fine and will be operating this season.

I know that ya mean. SFMM got rid of my all time favorite enterprise called Reactor. It was where the Gotham City Park part of the B:TR line is now. I used to love that ride and Z-Force which was where Batman is now. Oh well...

Gee, rides at great america are being dismantled like no tomorrow, Cagun Cliffhanger, Sky Whirl, Hay Baler, and now this, and all of them were in a short period of time, 2000 was all of their last seasons.

Welcome one and all, y'all come have a ball!
Things a bear-y fine, ridin' on the old Knott's bear-y line!

Whoa!!!!!! That was awful fast. Maybe that supposed rumor for the Giant Ferris Wheel is true. My only curious question would be: why would SFGAM build another ferris wheel so fast if they just tore one down?? I am curious.

X Looks Awesome! Oh Yea!!

i think they still have the parts for the triple wheel thing, but i don't think the location is very good...what they should do is take out the 3d theater and go karts, and then...BOOM!... you got yourself space for a new B&M flyer/4d...they could even convert the space shuttle america spaceship into the station!!!

There's plenty of room in that area (around Whizzer, Viper, go-karts) as is to fit in a decent sized coaster without removing anything. I wouldn't count on the go-karts or theatre going anywhere.

I went there today. There are two cranes next to Power Dive, but it doesn't look like they have started yet. Power Dive is still sitting there, in one piece. And Orbit was open today. It looks fantastic! They replaced all the lights and it looks like they repainted it. It's running well also. I'm very happy that they did this, because it means the ride will be around for a couple more years. They wouldn't repaint a ride for one final year.

2002 DV Count:

Days Open: 2

Days Closed: 6

Wanna wager on which side will win by the end of the season?

This ride is more than a season old and you can count on two hands the number of days it's been open.
