Italian Job - are they still handing out tickets?

Quick question - should one still head for IJSC right away to assure a place in line, or are they not doing that anymore?

I don't think they are doing it anymore, they weren't when I was there last Saturday.

I believe they still do it for gold season pass holders. The line can get extremely long in a matter of minutes so be sure to go back and ride it at opening.

I won't be there until about noon. :( Oh well. If we don't get to ride it, we don't get to. We're going to the waterpark, too.

Hope it's not too crowded. I haven't been on a Sunday for quite some time.

It's about an hour and a half wait thoughout the day, at least it was on the 4th weekend. We did not notice any tix being handed out to the GP though, even in the morning.

We were lucky enough to get gold season passes (because we bought them back in January) and the kiosk at the Eiffel Tower gives passes to the first 1500 gold sp holders. They have times on them, so you can't just go whenever.

The staff at IJ:ST rocks, so the line does move.

Also, make sure though to have some water while you wait in the line. The yellow canopy blocks the sun, but it's like being in an oven during your wait.

I was there yesterday and we ended up waiting an hour and a half. They're not handing out tickets anymore.

Yesterday was the first day of Spirit Song festival (had I known that I wouldn't have bothered going; BUSY!). I saw the line for IJ, laughed, and rode something else. I hadn't seen lines that long on a thursday in a long time. SOB was all the way to the entrance (by the restrooms).

At least I won a free CD from WAKW. :) Definately made the venture worth it.

The two times I've been at PKI when IJ was running, they were not handing out tickets to the GP.

Yep, it was pretty damn crowded yesterday. Luckily we got in a ride on SoB early in the morning. I would not wait more than 5 minutes for this PoS.

We decided to wait for the Italian Job because it looked interesting, and we would be kicking ourselves if we hadn't of gotten a ride in.

On a side note, why doesn't PKI ever post the wait times? I thought that was very annoying, as most parks post the wait times. We thought the wait for FoF wouldn't be too long, and we ended up waiting an hour because they have you winding back and forth in the main building.

The IJST in Canada doesn't have a canopy at all until the little bridge right before you get to the station. The queue is pretty much a (mostly) straight line. unlike PKI's.

I can pretty much guess the humidity is far more prevalent at PKI than it is at PCW.

So is IJST part of the ACE walkback during the morning now?

Tina,

IJ was part of the ACE walkback for the first few weekends. The park didn't offer the IJ walkback the rest of the times I was at park this year. I think there may be some miscommunication or something as the groups that walked us back to The Beast the last three times said the park never offered a IJ walk-back to begin with.
