It will likely be years before Star Wars and Toy Story are fully realized at Disney's Hollywood Studios

The Walt Disney Co. announced Saturday that it will build a 14-acre Star Wars land and an 11-acre Toy Story area at Disney's Hollywood Studios — the largest overhaul ever within an existing Walt Disney World theme park. Experts say they expect it to take several years before Disney's Hollywood Studios' complicated and costly new expansion becomes reality.

After two years of being AP holders, we've gone to DHS the least, by a very wide margin. Since my kid won't do the big thrill rides, there isn't much to do there for us. But wow, that temporary Frozen stuff sure does pack them in during the summer.

I also expected it to take several years to build out these new areas. Can I be an expert now?

I was thinking the same thing. Why would it take any less?

We partook of some of that temporary Frozen stuff with our girls; the live show was particularly entertaining (even for the big kids in the audience), but I would concur; we spent by far the smallest amount of time at DHS than the other parks, and in fact we're planning on bypassing it altogether on our next trip in March. Maybe a quick park-hop, but it's not on the radar for now.

We'll wait a few years for this to get built.

We always go to Studios, but basically we walk in, ride Tower of Terror and call it good.

I could play TSMM for *hours on end* until my elbow and wrist gave out.

Thankfully (or not) - that's never been a problem.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

I'd expect 2018 for Toy Story Land, and then for Star Wars...well, that's anyone's guess, but if I had to bet then I would say 2020/21.

Sounds like you've had lots of practice. At something. (Too easy!)
