The Surfside Pier at 26th Avenue this week is launching “it,” a pendulum ride that combines extreme heights, speeds and lots of air time in a small package. The three piers open for the season at 6 p.m. Friday.

Thanks for the explanation, Rideman. I've been checking this topic daily for a reply. It is greatly appreciated. :)

RideMan is pretty accurate. IT is the KMG Fireball. The Hersheypark and Dorney Afterburners are similar, and Chance does, or did build them for KMG.
The big thing I noticed immediately, was that on our version, you could feel the smooth drive motors as the ride swings back and forth, and when you begin to spin and pick up speed, you have tons of airtime, and ZERO feelings of nausea. All you see is either kids screaming, or raw fear on riders faces. IT is a winner.
And, with Morey's taking either tickets $8, or the wristband, their is some fast turnover. A full q and an additional line on Saturday night yielded a 45 min wait, while last summer at Dorney without much of a line saw many empty seats on each cycle and the same 45 min wait. I am posting pics now on my FB page if you guys want to see.
What is a KMG Afterburner? Just an early version of the fireball?
We rode this thing in OCNJ, but it looks like there are fewer gondolas, and less rotation only like 1/4 turn each swing.

That is my only complaint about these rides at Hershey and Dorney. I love them, but they seem to take forever to load/unload. What looks like a short wait ends up being quite long, in my opinion. Though, admittedly, I have a much smaller tolerance for waiting these days. ;)
If 'It' is moving people faster, that's an even bigger bonus for "it." I imagine the lap bars make it quite a bit more thrilling than "it's" relatives, as well.

"It"'s always in quotes
It prevents much confusion
It's helpful for "it."

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Corrective haiku
Wow, color me embarrassed
I love you, Vater!

"If passion drives you, let reason hold the reins." --- Benjamin Franklin
I tried that excuse
But the 'I' was in small case
Can't hide the mistake.

But the official
trademark of the ride name is
also lowercase.
Haiku must end with smiley;
but tanka ends with a wink.

If haiku is despised
Try a limerick for size
But never again cuz it's lame.
If someone can post a sonnet that's in iambic pentameter and relevant to the discussion, they will officially win this thread.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
What is this new thing at Morey's today?
"It" is the ride that is being debuted.
It does not make sense, this thing that you say.
Are you half-crazed, or just being rude?
If I go to Morey's to ride this ride,
What's the name of the coaster I'm on?
"What"'s not the name, and I shall not misguide.
"It" is the name of the thing you're upon.
So you keep saying -- you're driving me mad!
I speak only the truth; the ride is It.
Tell me its name or I'll crush your gonad!
It is "It". You twit! You're so full of ****!
The moral of Morey's ride-naming mess?
Sometimes a pronoun's more, others "It"'s less...

That was incredible! You are officially my Coasterbuzz poetry hero.

I wanted to slip some reference to the Knights who say Ni in there, but I just couldn't make it fit... ;)

If at first you don't succeed..well, you know the rest.
