Is X And Deju Vu At SFMM Working reliably?

How have they been working as of late I havent heard anything?
I guess if you havnt heard anything they must be working pretty well.

Are you serious? Where did you hear this from?

If it did, I think it vallied before the first raven turn. From videos it looks like it goes really slow there anyway. But that would be my guess.

I wonder how long it would take to remove a vallied 4-D train ;)

Another question I forgot to ask was does X operate on the weekdays because I heard somewhere that it only operates weekends.

Deja Vu at SFGA was vallied when I was there in August

If at first you don't succeed... skydiving isn't for you

X may run more reliably now, but the capacity is still between 300-400 pph, according to recent trip reports. That's just nuts. Of course, DV's capacity isn't a whole lot more :(

Going to SFMM on a Friday EARLY in the day is the way to get X rides...as for DV - been there done that! The one at SFMM has been reliable since they added the platform AFAIK. But really, if you're at SFMM, go for X...WOW! When we went, even Goliath was a walk-on while X was holding almost an hour-long line...if the modifications hold, and the engineers are happy, then I for one Xpect to see more 4-d coasters come '04....

Schilke/Boodley in '04? That's the *ticket* that gets MY vote!

But does it operate on week days.
Where did you hear that Mathayman?

I'm not sure what the word vallied means, but I can say from yesterday, my 6th time at Great America, here in Chicago, Deja Vu was up and down all day, and we just got out of line, after an hour and it breaking down twice and the line didnt move all that much we knew it would be another 2 to 3 hours to get on, and sure enough we got out of line, and it was up and down a lot.. the whole day. The time was better spent on other rides like Raging bull with a 35 minutes line. I did see some new tracks laying in the employee parking lot looks like they have the replacement for Shockwave already arriving.

Whizzer74, "vallied" is when the train stalls in the middle of the circuit and must be hoisted to a point where gravity can take over to get the train back to the station. In the case of SFGAm's DV, it could very well mean "Old Man Winter" has claimed the ride for the season.

edit: Haven't heard anything else about X valleying, so I'm *hoping* it's false rumor...

I don't think so. If you can't back it up, don't bother. As far as I can tell, both X and Deja have been doing much better lately. Thankfully, if you visit SFMM now, I would expect to see both open....

Thanks for your imput guys but does X operate on week days I still need to know.

medusafanatic-Why wouldn't X be open on weekdays?

Exactly!

Hey Medusafanatic! SFMM is only open Friday thru Sunday right now. X operates all three days.
I didn't know why but I heard that when SFMM is open weekdays that X isn't open.

Ok guys, X did valley this past week while testing the newly built third train. But if you don't want to believe it unless you see photos, that's your choice. It caused the ride to be down Friday.

Other than that though, X has been running pretty reliably. It actually suffers less down time than Goliath now.

As for Deja Vu, since its been hot these past few months, it hasn't vallied at all. But I'm sure once it gets colder, we will see it valley several times per month.

The good news is that it looks like X will begin running three trains by next spring. That, plus the opening of a new 200ft+ ride should help X's waits considerably...
