It's certainly one of the more intense swingers around and it's located in a very nice park with some excellent (and rare) flats like my coveted Mondial Top Scan :-)
Given the exchange rate over the past few years making a trip to PCW (or any Canadian park for that matter) is pretty affordable. I know that the rate is playing heavily into my decision to hit Vancouver Playland this year.

I give the nod to Vortex, simply because of placement and scenery. Wonderland is an immaculate and beautiful park. Vortex fits it's spot and it's surroundings very well. It is fun and the drop off the mountain is terrific.

Took me forever to figure out what the heck was going on as Vortex is a standup at Carowinds. LOL
Kinda like SFGA ya know?

And MagForce, dont be mad at Paramount, they didnt name the parks, they just bought them and kept the names.

Is it the roar of Kumba or the kumba of Roar? Discuss!
Because of the very minor difference in the two, Vortex is just a tad bit more intense. I can't really describe it other than just by saying it just seems more intense.
The final stop in the Vortex brake run causes the entire structure to violently shake and rattle. It's a true indication of it's speed and strength when it reaches the end of it's course.

Anyhoo, my two cents on the topic -- Vortex at PCW owns over Top Gun. I actually like Top Gun quite a bit, but Vortex is NON-STOP intensity, and the location...cannot be beat (*love* that helix over the water).
And yeah, Nick, Vortex sways so damn much, the entire brake run moves like a foot in each direction for a minute it seems!
See, all Arrow's do *not* suck!
