Is Tomb Raider Reliable?

Just wondering cause Im going in June and I have heard about it not being open all the time... and that sometimes the effects dont work or it isn't "consistent"? Yeah, anyways, thanks!

The immence amount of progamming Going into it causes the problems. You have to synch a bunch of stuff up. Right now during the "pre season" (before its open 7 days a week) its getting its rough spots out. by june it should be ok.

life is like a coaster. you have ups and downs and when you least expect it you go upside down.
legal disclamer. All posts are that posted are Mine. paramount parks may not use this to incrimate or fire me in any way shape or form. if contact with skin r

As far as I know, it's been open every weekend since the park opened to the general public. Granted, I haven't stayed at the park for a full day yet, but I have been there once every weekend. As for consistancy, I've gotten 7 spins since it has been open and the first 4 rides were almost completely different. I believe they were trying to work out a ride cycle to suit most people (even though everyone seems to think it's short). The last 3 rides I've gotten have been consistant all the way through.

The ride effects... that's another story. I'm still trying to figure out that one.... :)

Lotus Notes suck!!!

Yea I was wondering the same thing because most rides with good theming eventually wear off. I hope PKI keeps this ride in good condition because theming makes up for 75% of the total ride experience.
Jeff Siebert said that the park will continue to change and alter the Tomb Raider experience to better suit more guests until the end of May. He also said that they had interviewed a lot of guests` opinions on opening weekend about the ride and were working on some of their suggestions. It`s these changes to the experience, (special effects) that are the cause for what down time the ride has had this season, which has mostly been early in the morning. Everything should be fine by the time daily operation begins.

I`ve ridden Son of Beast 67 times!

I have gone to PKI several times this year and it seems to run pretty well. I'm not sure why they have more lights on in the ride area when you enter. They used to have a several spot lights on the seats and in your eyes so you couldn't adjust to the darkness. Now you go in and are able to see everything except the lava due to the fact its under the car. I have been on it a few times when it has broke down but nuthing they didn't fix in a few min. One thing I noticed last week was they have turned up the water from the lava that almost hits you in your face. I was in the middle row and it was so close I probally could have touched it if I was ready for it. I hope they hit you in the face over the summer. That would be a nice cool off. Anyone think there is a chance they will change the ending. The ending is the worst part. You do a flip at the top and then you slowly lower to the loading position. Overal the ride has been pretty reliable with lines on saturdays now around an hour

Does anybody on here know if TR:TR will be operating this Sunday or if ther'll be any delays at all. I was supposedly going May 11th with band but my friend is going with a club and needs to bring a friend with him. 2 weeks in a row, how sweet is that(for those of you who like me, don't have a season pass) Plus, admission will only be $24. Anyways, I'm crossing my fingers everything will run smoothly as far as the theming, preshows, and the ride itself go.

coasterz, you said that J.S. said the park will continue to change and alter the ride in May. Does this mean there might be a chance of delays or closures or just changing effects, more flips(wishfull thinking):)

There is nothing that is actually posting that TR:TR will be closed this Sunday. It ia supposed to be running like normal, but there is always the threat of a breakdown but nothing probally won't be fixed in a short time. I have a feeling the ride will stay the same when they get it to the spot they like it. Maybe in a few years when it is kind of old they might do something different but for now I think its staying the same
I don't think the ride has missed a full day of operation since it opened.

That said, the park is warning of delays and mid-day closures as you enter the park. But on the whole, it seems to be the most reliable new ride they've installed in years!
