V2 all the way
Vizzer? What are you ,from Transylvania?
Never heard of Vizzer. Do you mean Viper?
The Whizzer, IMO, will probably be staying for a couple more years. The park still has some land to utilize.

"We are no longer the knights who say Ni! We are now the knights who say eckyeckyeckyeckypakungloopoingengzourjin." "Ni"
he means the Whizzer from Six Flags Great America. All that i know is that the ride stalls alot on the lift hill and it is very hard to maintain. *** This post was edited by thrillride_FANatic on 6/23/2001. ***
The ride stalls on the lift because the lift system is self contained on the trains. When they make contact with a powere rail on the track the kick in and pussh the trains up the spiral. This ride opened in 1976... thats a long time for those motorse to be running. They could replace them to get the ride running 100% again.
I hope they don't remove it. It's a speed racer like Big Bend was without turing lifts. I want to ride it.

TITAN Laps: 7
Sure, maybe it is. Nobody knows. But it's been rumored that it would be replaced by a floorless for a long time. Don't count on it.

I would hate to see the ride go. And what about the trees around it. That is the most shaded part of the park. Why mess with it unless they have to.

Welcome to Deja Vu...home of the world wide wait.
The Whizzer is the last of its kind, it was built by Anton Schwarzkophf or however you spell it. I'm surprised that it isn't an ACE Coaster Classic. They better not take it down. Oh yeah, ride it at night that's when it is the best because there are no lights and it is in the woods.

Do you mean "turning" lift? If so, both of them have/had turning lifts.

Forget about it. It can't be THAT bad!

OMG. I don't think I have ever laughed out loud at anything on this message board before, until now. Thanks, Goonsta! :):):)
Even if he is from Transylvania or Germany (where Vs are often pronounced as Ws, and vice versa) he spelled it wrong! Pronunciation does not change spelling!

jjanfrederick, the turning lift is a spiral lift. No chain, but instead motors on the train drive it up the lift, which spirals up, instead of going up strait track.
