Is there any market in America for TOGO Coasters?

with the news of the demolition of Windjammer, and the SBNO status of Viper at SFGADv. , one has to ask the question, Is there any hope or market for TOGO coasters in America? I know of two operating TOGOs Shockwave and King Cobra, both early Stand-Ups... What do you all think?

I really don't think so. They're not as reliable as B&M or Intamin-made coasters. And they hurt a lot more.

Manhattan Express in Vegas and Ultra Twister at Six Flags Houston are also TOGO's. I thought the Shockwave was the absolute worst standup I have ever ridden and the King Cobra is the best. I really don't think we'll see too many more TOGO's in the USA anytime soon.

Was there ever really a market for TOGO coasters in America? I know they placed the first standups here and they also had some pretty cool concepts (unfortunately, they didn't work out well here). None are really successful this day in providing the thrills the other manufacturers have; not to mention that to a lot of people, they have a really painful ride.

What I am saying is is that unless they change their design approach to make their rides more comfortable and thrilling to us Americans, I don't think that they will have any market here in the future.

Haa! That's a good one. I seriously doubt TOGO ever did have a market here. There coasters are crap from what I've heard, and they have a bad reputation.

Thats not fair, Ultra Twisters had vertical drops LONG before Alton Towers claimed they had the 1st........and what happened to the Arrow pipeline, it flopped, while the ultra twister.....

Getting sued by one of your customers can't be all that great for business.
