Is there a Batman stand-up coaster?

I have a really hard time believing that THIS thread got started because of NSYNC. We need the mods to save us from BAD TASTE...please, soon, help!

I agree. Ride It- Yep, It was a great adventure for a couple years as Shockwave.

Nitro: The Most Explosive Coaster on the Planet explodes at Six Flags Great Adventure in 2001.
B:TE is in desperate need of paint. The old blue color scheme from its days prior to SFAW is showing through. However, the trains have received new foam on the OTSRs and at least one of the trains have received new wheels. I rode the train with the new wheels recently and finally found out how the ride was meant to be (or at least somewhat). For a standup, its pretty good IMO.

N SYNC???? Are they still around?
Sadly, I do believe so.

If you only ride coasters that some bad whiny rock band rides, thats pretty sad.

It used to be Shockwave at SFMM... It was later moved to SFAW due to the Six Flags Ride Rotation program.

"I thought it was a B&M design (pre B&M "the company"), that Intamin built.
It looks almost -exactly- like a B&M: banked first drop, track, trains, huge loop, etc...

As I understand it, and B&M has said in the past, B&M and Giovanola used to work together until one of them split off into a separate company... This would explain the nearly identical designs (in mechanics) of Giovanola and B&M coasters today. Hope it helps!

Actually, I am almost positive that B&M used to work for Intamin, not Gio. Would one of the "real" experts please step in here and set the record straight ?

Yes,it is true.Shockwave went from SFMM to SFGADV(as Shockwave) then it went to SFAW as Batman the Escape. If you would like to see Pics of it at Gadv as proof that it was there, let me know and i'll hook you up through e-mail.It was at SFgadv for a very short time span,it was there from 90 to 92.

Good God man, do not call N'stync a rock band, you sully the name of Rock by doing that!!!
Sorry had to vent.

B&M were a part of Intamin originally, at that time they did work closely with Gio on some projects. So call Batman:TE an amalgamation if you want.

Any resemblance to living or
dead people is purely coincidental.
Amen Skysox Don't refer to NSYNC as a rock band. Why would you ruin rock's good name that way. NSYNC is bubble gum pop for teenage girls that enjoy having their brains washed.

"And then you say oh what a lovely tea party."
-Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
A friend of mine called B&M themselves and they told him that neither of them ever worked for Intamin. That's all they said.
