I have been to Six Flags Great Adventure three times in the past 5 weeks and I have yet to ride Batman and Robin, The Chiller. The one day, they had people climbing on Batman's loop but it never opened. What happened to it? It looked like a great ride.
According to the officials they are installing laps on the Robin side...

The Robin side is shut down...the train is being retrofitted with lap-bars and the trains finally arrived back at the park last week. Robin will not open until next year....or maybe Fright Fest.
The Batman side has had it's downtimes this year, but most of the times I visit (52 and counting) the Batman side is running. If you really feel the need to feel like you're on Chiller, run around your house for 25 seconds beaning yourself in the head repeatedly with a cushioned baseball bat. If you want to feel Viper, run around the house for 10 seconds beaning yourself in the head with a crowbar. Have Fun! LOL.

KoЯn Rules! I just came out to feed!
I went to gadv last wednesday and got on batman chiller it was rough but it was fun.The robin was closed looked great..
Chiller is usually open. Just not the Robin track. The train isn't even on the track. But except for some minor breakdowns, batman is usually running everyday.

I was there last summer and the Chiller never opened. I was told by fellow enthusiasts that I didn't need the headache anyway. I spent less than 2 hrs at that park. I dunno why it's so "popular." Medusa and that mine train are kinda cool I guess...

Ow! My lap bar IS down all the way.
Robin is going to open next year with the new Premier lap bars and the Batman side is getting them this winter. The only time the Batman side was broke is half the day or in the beginning of the season. The coaster is not that rough anyway compared to Jokers Jinx and the front is very smooth.
I never felt my head bang around on it at all. I think that it is a great coaster and the lapbars will be a major improvement.

If that is what you call head banging, go on Shockwave at SFGAm.

The Chiller (Batman side) was open for 2Hostyl's and my trip last Wednesday. As for the comment that the Chiller is less rough than Joker's Jinx. You've got to be kidding me! Especially when the flash went off from the ride camera at night and I couldn't tell where we were going.

I don't see why you people hate Chiller. I am certainly glad my park is home to such a good coaster. Compared to other coasters I've been on that hurt, Chiller is nothing. The ride is very smoothe and offers a great thrill. Try riding it a few times before you put down the ride.

i agree Chewman it is a great ride and pretty smooth or at least the Batman side is.
Chewman: What coaster hurt more? ('cept maybe Rolling Thunder-right ehehehe). Chiller was fine the first ride, but that second ride beat me up pretty good. Which is weird because I experienced ZERO banging on Mr. Freeze @ SFStL. I think it was just the inline twist.

Chiller Batman side was excellent, a little bangy but mostly just fun - the top hat inversion was unique, I haven't been to either Mr. Freeze yet. Robin banged me and my girlfriend pretty bad, we've taken to calling him "the boy wonder". I think there's too much speed for the tight cobra roll (think Hulk at IOA for a smooth, elongated cobra roll). Lap bars will improve coasters DRAMATICALLY if FOF is any indication.
I have heard Mr. Freeze is very rough.
