Is the Beast a night only coaster?

I know that many people consider the Beast to be one of their favorite coasters, but I was wondering if you could only consider it a favorite at night. If you only took day rides on the beast into consideration, would it still be one of your favorites? I personally think that there is too much straight track on Beast, and without any kind of hills it just isn't all that great in the daylight. Conversely, at night i consider it to be one of the greatest coaster experiences in the world.
Good point, but I love the speed and hard curves while flying through the woods no matter what time of day. I do agree though that the Beast takes no prisoners at night, and gives arguably the best nightime ride, next to The Raven.
Its the best coaster in the world day or night, but it really come to life at night. At that point, no other coaster comes close.

Don't touch the watch.
The Beast is usually better at night because they don't have the lights in the tunnels on and you can't see anything; however, when I went to PKI on opening weekend the lights were on in the tunnels. I like The Beast both in the day and at night, but I always try to get a night ride in.
The beast is awesome day and night because after the first two hills the coaster just continually goes down hill. Nighttime riding is definitely a lot better because there are no lights. I have gone three times this year and every time there were no lights on in the tunnel when i went at night. Ride it both times and you will see it is just as intense during the day.
I've only ridden it during the day, and yes, it's one of my favorites. I hear it's even better at night, so I can't wait to ride it at night.
The Beast is my favorite either way day or night because I believe that every coaster is better at night.

Once PKI fixes the lap bar padding on SOB, The Beast will be moved to my second favorite wooden coaster.
The Beast has one of the best night rides around! Although, his son comes close with no lights on the thing except on the lift hill and midcourse brake run!
Beast at night is nuts!

As long is there is never a Six Flags Sandusky, I will live a happy life.
Was anybody here there at URC night last year? If you were, you know all about it.

Forget Nitro, Hypersonic, Batwing, X-Flight, etc. On my next coaster trip I'm looking forward to re-riding the Beast more than anything - night or day, in fact - ALL DAY!

May/June 2001 - 16 parks in 18 days!!!
By the way, anyone have any idea what time it will get dark in Ohio and the end of May? PKI closes at 8pm when I go, will I get a chance to ride The Beast in the dark?

To me, this is like asking "Is it better to ride AMTRAK in the day or in the night?" The Beast is a good coaster, but nothing more. A good beginning and a great ending can't compliment that boring high speed 3/4 mile in between. A few more hills and a bunny hop into the station would help this ride. After the brake shed, does this thing get any higher than fifteen feet off the ground before the second lift hill?
