Is 'Small World' something NEW!?

Is 'Small World' attraction at Disneyland a new ride or something?
Um...no...That ride has been there for at least 40 years hasn't it?

We're not White, Black, Hispanic, or Asian. We're American!

I can't stand that ride at Magic Kingdom...

"I'm on a drinking team with a bowling problem..."
Its soooooooooooo anyoning w/ the song.... "It's A Small world after all". They repeat it over and over again.....
"Small World" is an excellently done kiddie version of an old "Tunnel of Love" ride. The theming in the different rooms with all the animatronics decked out in gear native to the country is great. They also sing the song in different languages.

But it's that song that makes the ride almost unbearable. The ride is like 6-7min long and that song plays continously. I remember both me and my mom where like "when does this sh end?!?" It WILL get stuck in your head and be with you the rest of the day. It's the most annoying thing this side of Tom Green! Concequently, I've only ridden it once.

Well, I bet the 5-10 year olds love the ride and it is in Fantasyland...a land generally devoted to children.
Actually, I was about 7 or so when I went to Magic Kingdom and I could not stand that ride!
I'm an adult and I still love that ride.

I saw it on TV before. I wish I could ride it. Remeber Mufasa's brother Scar getting mad at the bird in Lion King for whisling that song? I suppose it was cause of the ride, but I didn't make the connection having never been there.

It's A Small World was installed in Disneyland during the tencennial celebration held in 1965.  It was originally designed for the Unicef pavilion at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, held in Flushing, Queens.  It was in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom when it opened in 1971.

On a side note, the entire ride system was primarily designed by Arrow Dynamics.

I happen to enjoy the ride, but I'm probably the odd one out here in that I'd take just about anything at a major *theme* park over a coaster or flat ride.

I love the "small world", i dont know why you people dont like it. the song is great, and it is not annoying i almost love it as much as the song from the electric light parade

Ah! Run away! That ride is definitely something else.

When I was 7, I rode the ride as many times as possible...my parents must have died of annoyance.

A bad day at Cedar Point is better than a good day at work.

I've ride the Disneyland an Disney World version of the ride like 4 times each...I love it...mostly because I remember it was my very first ride back in 1986. I was only 3 years old and I can still remember that, then I rode it for second time when I was 12 years old, and was my first ride in Disney World that time...so I really love the ride...

The Simpsons also spoofed this ride when they went to Duff Gardens.  The song in the ride went: "Duff Beer for me, Duff Beer for you, I'll have some Duff, you have some too," over and over again, with cheesy animatronics waving.  Hilarious!
yeah and they were already drunk too so they thought they were real and stuff
Back to the question in hand...

He/she is NOT talking about Disneyland in the USA.

A HUGE building is under construction at The Magic Kingdom in Disneyland Paris.  The ride is advertised as "It's a Small World 2002"

The ride is apparently a new take on the familar ride, and will occupy a huge space inside its 150ft tall building.

If anyone is interested in the ride - there is a construction picture somewhere on Coaster Force.

Additionally, I have confirmation of the park's name change - I have new leaflets in hand which call the park  "The Magic Kingdom" plus I visited the place a few days ago and it's easily noticable that all the announcements have changed from "Euro-Disneyland" to "The Magic Kingdom" (They were never changed to "Disneyland Paris" when the park was re-named then).

Disneyland Paris is now the name of the entire resort, which comprises of two parks, nealry ten hotels and a downtown disney area.
