Is SFKK ready for a V2???

I was at the park the other day when I saw many employees coming from a meeting.  When I asked a friend who works there what was going on he told me that, the  meeting was about the new rollercoaster.  When I asked what kind of coaster he replied "a V2 like at SFGAm."  It is going to replace the Antique cars b/c that is the only reasonably place for the 180ft. coaster to go in the park, due to the height.  The coaster is to debut in 2002 but is this park ready??????

Replace the antique cars???? I don't buy that.. Its one of only a handful of family rides in the park
What I have read here and there, is that they are getting a ride like V2, execpt for both towers are going to be twisted.
It would be a nice addition to the park...hopefully they can find a way to keep both the cars, and V2.

they should either get a nice big coaster, or couple small coasters, like V2 and somthing else.

You are right coastersaurus but they have barely any room at all to expand.
bad32 you are extremely right, thats probally why there getting a smaller coaster like V2, between the airport, the highway, and running out of room, there doomed.

I'll settle for a V2 clone.  Double twisted towers or not, I'll ride it.  Now if we can get some heavy-duty customer relations training in before next season, we'll be set up!  LOL

God please let SFKK get something in 2002. ANYTHING!!
Wouldn't they have to get special clearance from the airport? But "They" most likely will because it's only two towers. :)

When I went to SFKK I was looking around for some area for expansion and there is an old abandoned parking lot next to Chang which SF's could buy out and add a few more smaller coasters. How many years has six flags owned kentucky kingdom? I heard that the park had no roller coasters before six flags bought them out. Is this true?

1: The problem with that parking lot it, it's right by the airport...then again, we do have Chang there...

2: SF owned KK since 98 I think.

3:No, KK had T2, Chang, Roller Skater, Vampire (defunct boomerang...moved), and Thunder Run before SF bought KK. In fact, the only thing SF has done is put their name all over the park, and add RRE and TS.

A V2 would be great for SFKK... It would be a coaster they could run only one train on and nobody would complain...
Maybe they could get a stand-up drop tower too, just to make it a big year.

Also on a side note, the likeliness of it being called V2 is very slim, with T2 there as well. Also, I doubt (but wish) they will get another tower, they already have the Hellavator.
They could always move the antique cars but the setting there is perfect.  But on that side of the park the height limit is 300ft.  on the other side where chang is the height is 157 and below, thats why Chang is only 154 ft. tall, and that abandoned parking lot behind it, is owned by KFEC

Sounds more like someone raided Screamscape rather than having friends "in the know." It certainly would be a decent addition to SFKK.
While I agree a V2 would be a great addition, I shudder at the thought of the capacity of this ride at this park. Watching the ops consitantly stack two trains on Chang for 5 minutes or more  makes you wonder if anyone even cares that they have paying customers in the park.

I just go there to get my season passes for cheap.
