Is Sea World Texas Worth It?

Soggy's avatar
I have a few questions about Sea World Tx.

A. Is Great White a B:TR clone? I have heard both yes and no, so what's the deal?

B. Since I have only one day in San Antonio, I would have to hit both SFFT and SWTx. on the same day. Is Sea World worth the admission for the 2 coasters? I would not have time to see the rest of the park, just the coasters.

I would hate to be so close to 2 roller coasters and not get on them, but are they worth it? So, anyone who has been there please give me some advise... Thanks!

They look almost the same.

I do think Steel Eel looks looks like it would be worth it. Plus you could hit Sea World Texas in a very short amount of time since they only have two coasters.

#1 Park-CP. #1Steel-Montu. #1Wood-Roar(W)
From the Pictures I can find of Great White it looks exactly like BTR, except Blue instead of yellow, gray, or Black.

Trust me. I hit both of those parks when i was in San Antonio. Steel eel is good, Great white is almost exactly batman. Spend the whole day at the fiesta. It's a wonderful park! (At least I think so) Superman Krypton coaster, Poltergeist, Rattler, and Scream are all favorites of mine now. Plus don't miss Joker's revenge(which is ok) and Roadrunner express. Plus there are plenty of other cool rides, like an excellent flume, some AWESOME flat rides, and a boomerang clone. It's definitely a better idea to stay there all day and skip sea world.

Just bumping this up to get a few more opinions.

Also, anyone know of any Sea World Texas discounts??? I have been watching eBay for months, and have come up with a big goose egg.

Great White and Steel Eel are great! I must have riden Great White about 7 times and Steel Eel about 10! Of course I was also forced to look at the sea creatures. But if you REALLY want some fun, go to Fiesta Texas. Krypton Coaster is GREAT! It's currently my favorite coaster. Poltergeist is nice, but a little rattley. Rattler is a GREAT coaster too, but the on ride pictures are a bit dark. Go there, you won't regret it (unless you hate coasters). And try the pizza.

Believe me, I AM going to Fiesta!! S:KC looks incredible!!

I ask the Sea World question because I will be spending the day at Fiesta, and was considering leaving a bit early and heading over to Sea World to give those 2 coasters a spin. The problem is that it would (at this point) be another full admission price for 2 people, just for Steel Eel and a Batman Clone. (sorry, no time for Shamu) I have B:TR here at SFMM, and I will have already been to SFOT the 2 days before goint to Fiesta, so missing a B:TR clone is OK with me. Steel Eel is the kicker. I have never been on a Morgan (hyper, mine ride or anything else) so I kind of want to give it a shot.
