Is it still ERT if...

The following question has been bugging me. Is it still really an ERT if the lines durning ERT are longer (and I am talking were lines are twice as long or longer) then the parks regular operating hours? Now I relize its still techniclly ERT since the GP not allowed in.

Well, you just said it. "It technically is".

The idea of long lines during ERT has pretty much kept me from attending SRM this year at HW. I have yet to step foot in that park so for my first time there I would like it to be during the week. This way my daughter and I can enjoy the place leisurely without every enthusiast known to man packed into one relatively small park.

Regardless of whether or not you have to wait in line, it can still be fun if you let it. During the day at SRM I rode Raven and Legend without the longer wait. Then, during the ERT, I had some time to converse with my friends while waiting in the lines. I still had a lot of fun.

Even though there are lines during the ERT, the lines were moving fast enough to get multiple rides in. When I left I felt like i had ridden plenty of times.

That's sad to hear you say. Truly, as Krypton says.. over the course of the two days, if you so desire, you can ride the coasters to your hearts content. SRM isn't about the coasters as much as it is the fellowship with people who love what you do just as much as you do.

Brian, who's really thinking of changing that pesky ol' sig after this years SRM...

Whoa!! You guys took my statement in the wrong way.

I dont have a problem with waiting in line and enjoying the company of fellow enthusiasts (just ask Nasai, Echovictor, Sparky687, Peabody, or Chris).

Since I havent been to the park before, I just want to take everything in stride. Its not a pot-shot at enthusiast events , but more of a "daddy-daughter" day together with minimal crowds.
