True of all great coasters
of the past and present, and future
it's a ride you'll remember
for the rest of your life
and probably will
want to ride
again.
I am anxious to see what coaster they add to this section. Hopefully something along the lines of Gwazi. Are they gonna reopen Drachen Fire?
I have heard of 2 rumors floating for the '02 and '03 seasons -- (1) Reopening Drachen Fire under another name for the '02 season -- OR (2) Building a NEW Wooden Coaster (a first for BGW) in an undetermined location. Honestly I think Option #1 is more of a reality -- Let me know what you hear also!!
Even though it may be a mere rumor, BGW should really consider building a woodie. They've only got 5 coasters and they're all steel!

I don't love roller coasters....I'm obsessed with them. BGW and PKD baby! *** This post was edited by ApolloAndVolcano on 5/22/2001. ***
I agree totally with you ApolloAndVolcano! They do need a wooden coaster.

Grizzly at PKD is the best!
I have a feeling that BGW may be adding a new coaster either next year or the following year. Since the old entrance to the park is for staff and busses only I see the park down sizing the first parking lot. Half of that area would be parking for the busses and employees(if they even park there). Then the other half plus all that strip of land behind Ireland would be for some time of coaster. Thats what I see BGW doing in the future.
If they don't build a woodie, they should build a stand-up coaster. Costly, but they need something new!

I'm going to BGW on June 7 and I've never been there before. Unfortunately I'll only be there from 12 to 6 but can anybody give me any points to getting shorter lines? Someone told me that BGW has incredibly short lines as it is though! And what is the best ride? How is the Simulator in Ireland, because I don't usually like simulators, is it better than others?
If you like airtime, definitely go to Apollo's Chariot first. Alpengeist is another tight coaster and must ride. Just go on everything, but mainly AC and Alpen.

Guys, I've been under a rock of working. What the hell happened to Drachen Fire, and what the hell does SBNO mean? And don't be a smartass and look at me like I'm a friggin idiot. email me about it *** This post was edited by RidesFanatic on 5/29/2001. ***
SBNO means "standing but not operating."

hey can anyone tell me why drachen fire is sbno. why dony they just open the ride
drachen fire is sbno because of declining popularity and complaints about its roughness. it seems as if they might be opening it for '02 but thats just a rumor. i actually dont think that busch needs a woodie becuase there is such a thing as a steel tradition at a park and i think that they should keep that tradition going.
