After the 6:45 call time, we walked back to the Ice dragon and waited while things got set up. After they were ready, we took our seats, with Jerry of the FLCC chosen for the play-by-play. After 2 rides, with time inbetween to check the tape, they wanted to switch the riders around.
Renee, a recent recruit to coaster enthusiasm, was the only female there, so they asked her to sit and do the narration. She was unsure of the ride terminiology, so they asked me if I would do it. Of course I had no problem with this, and we took another couple rides with me doing the play-by-play this time.
It's a lot harder than it looks on TV. Trying to focus on the camera and the ride at the same time is challenging. I also thought that the narrations were usually scripted, but I was told to just say whatever I wanted. It was definately a fun experience!
After those rides, they fired up the Fire dragon for morning testing, and we got a couple spins in the back row while the crew interviewed a ride technician. Following that, they interviewed us riders about the dragons and coasters in general before letting us loose.
The park was crowded, so I joined Jerry and some other FLCC members (I'm not a FLCC member, so I'd never met any of them before) and we went around the park. We took rides on Dr Doom, JP River Adventure, Cat in the Hat, and played in the camp JP area.
I left the group around 1 to head over to USF and check out Shrek 4-D. The line was long, so I grabbed some food and a ride on MIB, and came back.
It was still an hour wait for Shrek 4-D, but I decided to wait it out, and boy was it worth the wait! The building has undergone a major renovation, and the show was hilarious! Some of the effects are old and used on other 4D attractions, but the seats and script made up for it.
I decided to call it a day and beat rush hour traffic (see my signature), so I headed home with my farmer's tan (no sunblock) and went to bed! Waking up early isn't fun, but it was worth it.

Don't you have to act like that in order to justify loosening belts and cutting lines? Maybe he'll take me on as an apprentice, as he obviously would not be impressed with my status on "the list"!

I was surprised how much I loved the Jiminy Neutron ride, sounds like Shrek maintains that high level....if the USF coaster turns out as well, the park will defintely go a long way to spreading the wealth at "The Complex"...:)
bill, saw an embroidered FLCC hat at SRM that I need to have....;)
EDIT: I *should* mention that Fire Dragon is MY favorite steelie in FL....*ducks incoming barrage*....

I was hoping for more FL ACE folks to show, but I assumed they were all at the Con. I guess it kinda made up for missing out this year, but not really. I would rather ride Grizzly than any of the IOA coasters. It brings back childhood memories.
I still haven't done the Jimmy Neutron ride. The line is consistantly long. I also haven't been on the Pteranodon Flyers either! We tried to ride them after the filming, but the JP nazi said we needed to be there within 30 mins of the park opening (it was 9:40)! Oh well, one day I'll drag myself out of bed on the weekend to make it there at opening.
Are you talking about this hat? Let me know when you place your order!

I have HEARD of people getting on PF without a kid, but I've never been that lucky....the ONE ride I got was due to a British family with two kids and a mom that didn't want to ride.....*can you imagine NOT wanting to ride*....I know I can't...;)
