IOA copied off of BGT- once

the incredible hulk was made, thus having kumba 10 miles away. why the hell did ioa do that?
Kumba is not 10 miles away, its like an hour.
Plus who said a parks have to be __ miles away before they can build a ride by the same company. IOA didn't get a B&M becuase they wanted to copy BGT. They got Hulk because B&M offered the best ride experience for the best price...or a reason like that. This is a stupid thread IMHO

sorry about that, but still, two sit downs in one state.

Yeah, I hate when two incredible 7-looping B&M sit-down coasters are near each other.  I can't think of anything worse.
Same here Den.  I mean, could you imagine the horror?  Despite the fact that one has a launch, a b&m first, and the other one, just a b&m first.  Why?  IOA should have re thought that. *End Sarcasm.

I must agree with Den. Sad day when two B&M coasters are built close to one another. I mean the only thing worst is two of them in the same park. This world is a bad bad place. LMAO
I think what he's saying is that Hulk has a very similar layout to Kumba. I tend to agree with him, if that is the case. It's like having Stealth at PGA and Batwing at SFMW. Essentially the exact same ride within an hour of another. How similar is the layout, though? I really don't know for sure, but from pictures they look almost exactly the same. Sure there's a launched lift, but after that, is it the same ride as Kumba?

I've ridden both Kumba and Hulk.  Both are B&M uprights, but they are pretty different otherwise.  Certainly nothing even vaguely resembling clones.
I'm sorry but Hulk and Kumba do not have similar layouts whatsoever.

IOA also copied BGT by building two B&M dueling inverts. ;)

What's the reason for this thread anyways? It's just a little stupid, if you ask me..

As DDFire19 said, {sarcasm}can you imagine the horror? And just think of a park that would have 2 sitdowns, not just the state, but a park! Oh my god! There is SFGAm for you! Demon and Shockwave, same park, same manufacurer.
Oh, and did you IOA copied another BGT thing as well? Oh yes! It's true, I bet they did it on purpose. BGT had Gwazi open a year before Dueling Dragons, both are dueling coasters, it looks like IOA copied BGT, once again!{end sarcasm}
Now the real reason IOA "did that" is because of what Bruce said. It had nothing to do with copying BGT.

Hey, SFGAm management, can I buy a couple cages of Sky Whirl?

I assume you live in Florida lord...? That's one of the B&M capitals of the world. I live in Pennsylvania and there is two stinking B&M in the state: Talon at Dorney and Great Bear at Hershey. Both are across the state from me and they are both tame inverteds.

I know I would love to have Hulk and Kumba within an hour of each other.

Hmmm.... I think IOA built Incredible hulk becuase they do not think like coaster lovers??? They built it becuase they figured people will love it!!

and hell, people DO!!

i live in new jersey, thus having six flags great adventure as my homepark. the reason i made this post is because i just realized it. sfgadv is yet another b&m capital of the world, having 3 b&m's and many rumors were speculating about a 4th b&m contract signed with sfgadv.

Hulks layout:  Launch, zero-g, cobra, loop, corkscrew, loop, corkscrew.

Kumba: drop, loop, dive loop, zero-g, cobra, interlocking corkscrews.

I've been on both, and the deliver very different experiences.

However, I think that Kraken has a very similar layout to Kumba's except it's a floorless.

Cluva Yeah, I would say Kraken and Kumba are more alike than Kumba and Hulk. Incidentally, Kraken and Hulk are the ones about 10min from each other.

Anyway, Kumba is *nothing* like Hulk. Kumba is fast, fierce, and fun. Hulk is ....
