IOA & DDR...

IOA no longer has my favorite...the 7th Mix Max2 Machine. They replaced it with DDR Extreme. They kept DDR USA but both machines have been moved....this as of April 9th, 2003.

Dammnit. XS Orlando had better not get rid of their MAX2. Sea World's is in crappy condition, as is the one at the Downtown Disney AMC Cinema...

Sea World has one too? Crap, that's like three machines Steph and I missed in November. Grrrr...

According to one of my colleagues that recently went down there, one of XS's DDR machines has already been converted to Extreme, not sure if it was Max 2 or their 5th mix though... Oh, and where did they move the machines?

How is that bad? Extreme has a majority of the songs that MAX2 has, plus a bazillion more.

Yah, Extreme has problay every song that was ever on any mix...By pressing the 2 yellow arrows on the machine you can arrange the songs in different orders. So you can pick from the ABC order or the BPM order and they have the songs listed in witch mix they were in. So upgrading to and Extreme isn't bad at all your keeping all MAX2 and every other mix and getting about 50 new ones.

Listing by mix was a good idea. We've probably all got favorites that we knew appeared on a particular machine. Of course, I'd get confused a little since subsequent mixes have tracks from previous mixes, so I wouldn't be entirely sure which one they appeared on first.

What's funny about listing by mix is that I always assumed the songs on Konamix were the "old" songs and the ones on MAX2 were the "new" songs. So when I started playing all these old classics like CSFILSM and Stomp to my Beat and Rhythm and Police, I thought they were newer songs... ha.

Don't worry Jeff, you didn't miss much! :P
Chris- XS still has their MAX2, so I believe they just upgraded their 5th mix to an extreme. Or, they could have purchased a new machine. What do I know?
Den & Norcal Kid- I don't know...I just don't like how the songs are listed and stuff on Extreme. I can't find my favorite songs...Afronova, Exotic Ethnic, Drop the Bomb...all my favorites from MAX2 are missing. But, I think you guys just clued me in on how to find them.

No work today? Weee...I'm off to IOA to check it out! Later fellas!

So, someone mentioned that the IOA DDR machines were moved. Can anyone confirm this, and if so, where to? Diff location in the same arcade or to another location in the park?

Robcoasting, all the songs you mentioned are on Extreme. The default order of songs only lists the "new to Extreme" songs, I believe. You have to push the two arrow buttons together to see all the songs.

Just list them in Alphabetical order. You'll find them, trust me, Afronova's there, so is Extic Ethnic and Drop the Bomb, both the original and the remix.

Just so you know, Extreme doesn't have every MAX2 song.... it's missing two or three. One I know for sure that didn't make it was 'The Whistle Song', but I forget the other one or two.... otherwise everyone else is correct about sorting the songs to find the ones you're looking for.

I found out that the MAX2 was *upgraded* to an Extreme about a month ago. I played the new Extreme...and, being the lazyass that I am, ended up going over to the USA machine.

Oh, and I did really well on the Whistle Song, so that's another kick in the pants for me. Oh well, I guess I'll have to get used to it...

Yes, that would be me. Same arcade...different location. Well, for the USA machine. Now, you have the Extreme (formerly the MAX2) in it's same old location...to the left of the restaurant queue railing/entrance thing. The USA mix however, has been moved opposite the Extreme...to the right of the restaurant entrance.

Not far really, and not a big deal actually! :)

At least the USA got moved outta that corner...DDR machines arent meant to be stuck over there like that.
