Invertigo: The negletect middle child

The Invertigo is a ride were all familar with probibly. It is part of the Vekoma Boomerang family but does not get nearly as much attention as Boomerang and Deja vu. The number of Invertigos in the US was equaled in one year by Deja Vu's ( Super inverted boomerang) People always talk about Boomerangs becuase of how many there are and of couse talk about Deja Vu's becuase there some of the newest and best rides there are today! But why haven't we seen a boom in Invertigo's? What do you think of the ride? The face to face seating is great, but the ride is better! It is very intense, smooth and disorienting. I have ridden it at PGA and feel in love the minute I was strapped in! Not many people voice their thoughts on this ride, but what our yours!?!?

I've ridden PKI's Face\Off and PGA's Invertigo and I found them to be A LOT of fun. The backwards trip through the loop was very intense, and the backwards trip through the Cobra Roll was just plain disorienting. The Invertigo is deffinitely one of Vekoma's best creations.

I think they're a great variation on the boomerang. I've been on two of them, and they're fun. I just wish the waits for them weren't so insane.

All I Know is I think between Invertigo and Super Invertigo the old boomerangs have been outdated and we wont see to many of them going up anymore

prepare for launch
I've been on all three Invertigo's and for some reason, I liked PGA's the most.  It seemed to have a little more kick, not to mention having a better view (mountains!) than the other two.

I really like the Vekoma Invertigo's.  I have only been on one Deja Vu (SFoG) and I thought that was easily better than the invertigo's, but that doesn't take away from how cool the Invertigo's are.

Facing off your friends and having "chicken fights" on Face/OFF closing weekend -- priceless. :)

"Words are like...funny...you know?"

The reason we won't see more is I doubt a deja clone is significantly more expensive, and vertical spikes sell better.
I REALLY wish CF would have sent an Invertigo WoF's way insted of a Boomer 2 years ago...

Mamba; The inspiration for SD2K. It doesnt get much better than that. Come to the Midwest;and ride the most underrated coaster in the U.S.
I will say it again. I can't believe anyone is still building Boomerangs these days...
It does surprise me that Cedar Fair did that.

I wonder if we will ever see a Super Boomerang.
(Your average Boomerang with vertical spikes)
I'm not sure if thats enough to make it interesting, but it is better than building an ordinary boomerang.

hmmmm. Seems to me the only way to get decent capacity on a new shuttle coaster...there's really only one solution to it, Jeff, and that would be to have multiple shuttles...*strong suspicion*!!!  And if you're the biggest amusement park on the planet, you'd really hate to have the guest relations nightmare of a 6-hour wait for your new innovative shuttle coaster...on to the topic, yes Invertigo's are vast improvements over Boomerangs IMO...but waits will always be the catch with one-train operation of any kind!

Yeah, I've been on two invertigos. They are much more fun than regular boomerangs, especially since, as you said, you can face other riders. Plus tall people can fit on them. I guess it wasn't too far off from a regular boomerang to excite buyers, while the Deja Vu was really something new. Otherwise, I'm not sure why they didn't sell well.

WHEW! It's a good thing it's not really innovative...

They are not worth the wait, but the Invertigo is the best concept in Boomerangs. I'm just not a big fan of Boomerangs. I think they are a cheap way of increasing your coaster count. I was shocked when CF put one in for WOF.
Dual tracked Shuttle is that what you are insinuating

insinuating, nothing, I'm coming right out and shouting :  "CP's new impulse coaster WILL have more than one track!"  I am NOT "in the know", but I am paying attention, and having seen the capacity "situation" as it unravels with these shuttle-coasters...it only makes sense.  (P.S.  My longest wait, for ANY coaster, EVER...about 2 1/2 hours for Face-Off...and it wasn't the ONLY new attraction at PKI in its first year...)
Gotta wonder how SFMM is going to try and take/keep the "most coasters" title...but somehow, come CoasterCon, they will...

I want see a park twist one in with one of their existing boomerangs for a nice dueling effect. Of course I am sure I'd ride the invertigo side much more. ;) They are alot smoother. Good Ride!!!!
I want to see an Invertigo with the first two loops like a Vekoma SLC

ive been on Two Face at SFA....and its probably my second favourite ride there, behind SROS.  i know....GASP!! better than Batwing!?!  when you get on, ride the outside seat that is facing the cobra roll in the station....the few seconds you hang on the lift are amazing!!!  and that seat i SWEAR pulls close to 5 G's goin thru the vert loop backwards!!  i love two face...its an incredible ruch..and never a long wait!! :)

vacoasterfreak, the second best coaster there for me is still a toss-up between The Wild One and Roar, at least until wait times for Batwing become reasonable.  Good woodies at that SF park...of course, Roar is still pretty new, have to see how it ages.  But Two-Face, as with the other invertigos, are ridden wrong, IMO.  You should FACE your riding partner, which would mean the queues would have to be set differently.  The best ride there, though, you are ABSOLUTELY correct on.  The best coaster there, or anywhere on the planet, is an S:RoS...can't wait to try one of the other two...salivating.
