Invalid Data error

I'm was flying this morning, and I was working on my Cedar Point recreation on the plane, when the laptop's battery was low so the computer automatically went to into hibernation. I quickly rebooted it just so I could save my work, but before I had time to exit, the battery died.

Later, I tried opening up the game, and I was able to open it successfully, but when I went to open my Cedar Point file in the saved games area, an error message came up saying that the file had invalid data.

The strange part about it is that all the other files worked, but just the one gave me the error message doesn't. Does anyone know why I'm getting this message, how I can fix it, and if it has anything to do with the battery dying?

Thank you.

If I had to take a stab at it, I'd say that the park file was indeed corrupted when the battery went kaput. If you have Windows XP, you MIGHT be able to go back to the last restore point that was created (you'll lose any additions to the file since that point, but it'll make it workable again).

However, this affects everything on the computer and basically uninstalls any programs you added after that point. I have never tried it to recover a specific file like that though, just fixing actual program problems. Research into that method if you have XP, and maybe someone can chime in with a little more info on whether that will recover the file.

Good luck! :)
