Intimidator 305 finally made the top 100

It finally had enough ratings by "qualified" raters to make the CoasterBuzz 100, debuting at #27. Truth be told, I'm kinda surprised it landed as high as it did. Granted, I rated it highly because, while flawed, I still thought it was fairly awesome when it opened. After the modifications, it had less love.

I wonder if the new round of modifications will help its cause?

Nothing to see here. Move along.

The minimal feedback I've heard about it so far this season has been mostly positive.

I'm hoping to get to ride it on Monday should my plans work out. I won't have any way to compare past to present, but I'd be happy to share my feedback all the same.

All feedback from Carrie is appreciated. I look forward to hearing your opinion on the soft restraints.

I rode it Monday a few times before it mysteriously closed for the day around 2pm. The soft restraints are great for people under 6 feet tall (they press into my shoulders at 6'3") and the lessened midcourse trims have the second half of the ride running faster than ever. The water sprayers are once again turned on full blast in the station but there are still seats that have "splattered blue wheel goo" on the backs of them. I'm interested to see how long it will remain un-trimmed during the summer heat. That said, it was HAULING on Monday before it closed.

I rode it at the worst possible time, with the original restraints and the first drop trims. The latter didn't bug me so much, but the restraints definitely killed the ride for me... and my jaw. I'd love to give it another shot now, but I don't know when I'll be down that way again soon.

Are you sure? CoasterBuzz has hardened me a little. I'm not nearly as charming as I used to be. ;)

Oh, great. So you're chopping down all your trees too? If only I'd known you were a Cedar Fair property...

WOW! Ensign!? That's a little bold of you to be questioning Carrie's grooming. That's a bit personal.

I wish I'd thought of it that way before I posted that... ;)

Yeah, I wondered if anyone would go there with it. Leave it to Rob. :)

Carrie could use more theming... and some flats.

Sorry, Carrie!

Dare we discuss her parking fee, whether she offers free soft drinks, and Flash Pass??

I think it has a much more negative connotation with women, so I'd tread carefully there.

Heh, yeah, I can't say that I'd embrace that one catching on. But if it honored Moosh's memory to have that little exchange, I can dig it. Now let's move on, though. :)

No worries...you're still one of my favorites, buddy. :)
