Intensity

It is all our number 1 problem and what we all hate. Intensity. I have had soooo many huge roller coasters that have took me a lot of time be stopped due to intensity! I mean If Goliath was in Roller Coaster Tycoon it would be too intense! I do bank cruves, so why are rides so intense!

The best solution I can offer about making the intensity lower is add some trim brakes throughout the rides course. Espically use them before inversions. It usually works for me, but it depends on where you put them.

Good luck.

Rollercoasters: They're not a hobby, they're not an interest, they're an ADDICTION!
Basically, try to limit the lat G's as much as posssible.
anyone ridden the incredible but death-threatening Shock Wave at SF Great America? My brother tried to build it in RCT and it's intensity came out to 21 something. Granted, Shock wave is no longer the most popular coaster, and probably one of the most intense still operating (I've heard it's like the late Steel Phantom's little bro). But I'm handicapped and rode it 3 times in 2 days, and the rct wimps won't ride a coaster like that even once.

Ok enough of my babbling, hey Todd, check out my site below, and look at the "RCT adivce" section, it's got tips for every kind of coaster (before LL), usually centering around intensity.

Shockwave isn't that intense. I made it and the excitement was 6.8 and intenseity was only 9.*.

my only advice is to always put widly banked turns in and to watch where you put corkscrews.
Personally I always have a problem with Vertical G's

You build it, I'll ride it
