Intamin Track at Knotts!!

I first saw them from Supreme Scream and got a better look on the skytower and thru the employee entrance on Western Ave. Tucked WAY back in the back of the employee lot behing Walter Knott Elementary school are 4 pieces of box-type Intamin track. Since the sun was setting behind them it was difficult to see what color they were...they looked coral or hot pink.

Now here's the odd thing: they look EXACTLY like the four pieces delivered to CP. All four have various degrees of curvature and at least two of them have a slight twist to them. Could it be that the full-circuit Intamin is out and an Impulse is in? Or are these just the pieces for the transition into the "top hat" style inversion the full-circuit is supposed to have? Whatever the case its a good sign that the park has received permission from the City Council to go ahead and build the coaster. I'm sure an announcement will follow soon.

Sorry I don't have pics [and even if I did I don't have a website]...but they're DEFINITELY there.

It is 100% true!!!!!!
That means media day should be any day now!

LOL!  Media Day?
This is not rumor.  The boat arrived in Long Beach on Monday and track is being moved to the park at this time.  About half of the track has been there (Long Beach Customs) for about a month.  It is the same Orange color as Expedition Ge Force.  Many Many pieces, which causes me to second guess an impulse.  No LIM type pieces.

anyone got pics?
Maybe Knotts is in for a hyper.  That would be sweet.

Coasters are like a fine wine, they get better with age.
It would be cool to see an Expedition Ge Force clone...
YES YES YES!!!!! This rocks! I've wanted to ride Expedition Geforce and if Knott's gets a coaster similar to it....YES.

Buzz Head: thanks for the confirmation of more track than an Impulse needs. Are you *sure* it's orange? Granted it was almost night but I stood not more than 50 feet from the track and it looked more pink or coral colored to me. In fact it looked to match the neon on Coasters Diner.

Everyone else: Calm down...the park is NOT getting a hyper nor is it getting anything remotely resembling GeForce. Unless plans have changed think Mr Freeze but full circuit, with a "hydraulic" launch instead of LIM, and slightly longer...at least that's what Mr. Falfas described.

Cool, we can finnally know confirmed information about "Grease!" I really want to see how fast this will go and how quick the launch will be.

Orange is a nice color.

ALL RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YA DID!!!
Mamoosh.... My source says it looked orange, but it could have been the warehouse lighting.  At least we know it's not a generic impulse.
More track, about 15-20 pieces, was delivered yesterday.
