Intamin Stand-ups

I was wondering if Intamin still built stand-ups, or they left Intamin when B&M broke away from them and formed their own company.

My mind works in strange ways. Yeah with a chain driven lift hill and gravity.

They are still in the catalog. But I do not believe any have been built since B and M started on their own.

Da Poodle

Coming in 2003-The Spawn Of Magnum!

Actually, I think 7-Up Shockwave was built after B&M came about.....yep...just checked..1994.

Any other ones Peabody?

Shockwave looks fun but man a Zero G roll on a stand up has to hurt.

Don't think so.... The one at La Rounde was originally built in the 80s, as was Batman:Escape. Off the top of my hand I can't think of any others.

La Ronde, SFAW, and Draton Manor and the only three I can think of.

Add to that list Z-Force, and there's your lineup of all four Intamin coasters with B&M-esque box-spined track.

You forgot Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Peril: Backwards! (the loop is b&m style boxtrack)

Ahh, but the rest of the track (ties & rails) do not resemble B&M track, including the loop. Damn killer-looking coaster, though. Does anyone think it's a shame that they run it backwards? I much prefer facing forwards on coasters, especially one with such great visuals.

Drayton Manor in the UK. Well, there's also Shockwave, the Togo standup at PKD, but I assume you were referring to the Intamin.

Not to start an argument or anything, and I can only technically speak for BTE, but it's not really an Intamin, just sold through them. It's really a Giovanola, which is plastered all over the manuals.

Hope the one in the UK is nice....seems that anything named Shockwave here in the States is cursed steel...;)

And was Shockwave at SFGAdv in between.

I rode the SFAW version while it was SFGAdv's Shockwave, but don't recall it very well.

Drayton's ride is interesting, especially while facing backwards.

Here's my Shockwave gallery (the UK one), and yes, if you're not ready the standing inline can really bang your head. There's loads of lat G's, and the furthest point from the track is of course your head...
