Intamin Park?

Well, not exactly, but what is it with Drayton Manor Park and Intamin, and are there any other parks with as many installations by one particular manufacturer? Alton has 3 B&M's and Europa Park is pretty much a Mack showground... Back at Drayton Maelstrom, the Gyro-swing is now open, as is the fifth element on Apocalypse (Giant drop), the floorless stand-up cars. Intamin also built Shockwave, Splash Canyon and Storm Force 10. And I'm putting money on Project Neptune being a shoot the chutes ride. Check me site for pics of Maelstrom, Neptune const. and the new Apoc cars...

follow theme parks, then Drayton

I believe Europa Park is owned by Mack.
It is...from my understanding, It's used as a "showroom" for their rides. Silver Star was a collaboration with B & M, but otherwise it's all Mack.

Welcome to Six Flags Great America, home of the fastlane and delay-ja vu! We have now officially been deemed the world-wide wait!

-Almost every ride in Kijima Park was made by Meisho/Venkoma

-Wild Adventures is Huss Heaven

-All of Nasu Highland's coasters were done by Schwarzkopf and Meisho (some each company did alone, but many were joint projects. Laurence, you were right, this park happens to have one of two SLCs made by Meisho)

-Cedar Fair & Paramount were always using Arrow until Arrow ran out of ideas

-Big Cheif Karts & Coasters could be called the CCI park

-Six Flags Belguim seems to have Venkoma Fever(Is that good or bad?)

-The world's greatest water park, Schlitterbahn, was all created by NGBS

-Paramount Canada Wonerland's Water Works Park was a Proslide Inc. creation, even the all the new rides they're adding are still made by Proslide

isnt it Vekoma?

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone

Just curious, but what would be an example of a Venkoma? jk

Also, SFGAm used to be B&M's testing ground. The first B&M stand-up (and coaster), inverted, and the co-first hyper (I've heard RB was in R&D before AC, which would make sence, twisters would appear to be more difficult to design than an out-and-back.)

The only other 'popular' B&M that did not appear there first would be the floorless.

It sucks they didn't get the co-first B&M flier. Other than the floorless and flier, they havn't gotten the dive macine (but they are too short anyways) and a sit down, which they already had 2 of by the time those came around.

SFA has been called Zamperla-land by some.
-------------
The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.

"Zamperla-land" lol

I guess having the only Roto-shake east of the Mississippi could give us that description. I think SFMM could also count as an Arrow playground as they have a bunch of them. :)

Ready to spring into a new coaster season! :)

Knotts is becoming an Intamin showroom! ;) And thats a good thing!

Perilous Plunge

Bigfoot Rapids

Xcelerator

2004 Coaster

Xcelerator-

What 2004 coaster? This is the first I've heard of it.

Btw, anyone remember the rumors that Knotts would get a Gigacoaster possibly featuring a 'Gigascrew' (corkscrew with a diameter of 200ft or more)? ;)

Wild Adventures has a few Vekomas (SLC, Boomerang, Rollerskater) and several Chance flat rides...really not a Huss park IMO, but there is a GREAT selection of kiddie/family rides. Two spanking new Zamperlas for '02 though, including a Power Surge :) and a Kite Flyer...

I think Drayton Manor's Shockwave, by IntaminAG came first.

Project Neptune will be heavily themed. Farmer company, who's responcible of the theming Stormforce10, is involved in this project. But more than that i don't know...

Maelstrom looks pretty intense. Any reviews on that ride?

Thanx for the pics by the way.

I have been hearing (with nothing decent to back it up) that Knotts will get an Intamin Hypercoaster in 2004. The only idea I have heard is that it will go in the Reflection Lake area. Not sure how much of this I believe, but I do think it will be an Intamin.

As for that Gigascrew rumor, I remember. We all know Sandor is crazy, but come on..... And not only the Giga Screw, but this rumored Intamin Giga Coaster would have dropped into the tunnel leading across Beach Blvd that is not used for pedestrians and cars. ;)

Six Flags Holland is also pretty heavy on Vekoma (until the Intamin Goliath), and I think the SLC there was the first ever. But as Vekoma is a Dutch company that would make SFH and SFB easy sales points.

I can only assume (since you don't know how to cut down the quotes) that you are talking about Iron Wolf. Shockwave is mid-90s, 94 I belive. Iron Wolf is 1990. Anyways, I was talking about B&Ms, not Intamin/Giovanola.

What the heck is with KBF's 2004?! Xcelerator is already a freakin' Intamin hyper, which, as we all know how Intamin is, will be awesome but break down 40% of the time! ;)

Will Johansson

I dont think the park would get 2 Intamin Hypers. Xcelerator can be considered a hyper. I dont know where this KBF 2004 coaster came about, but if they do get one, its not going to be an intamin hyper.

The parks probably just use the same company for 2 reasons (probably!):

1. They may have a multi ride deal. The more rides they have the cheaper the company will probably sell them to the park for.or

2. The theme park has trust in the company and they know they will be 100% satisfied and have a good relationship already.

Why risk investing in a company that may go bankrupt ( or something) when you've got a perfectly good company willing to give you a good deal!

I hear something COLLOSUS coming. Cheese at its best hey!
