WoW! I thought someone said the drop wouldn't be vertical... Looks that way to me. That is just incredible looking!
It is a vertical drop, and you can definetely tell from the picture! That looks unbelievable. Unfortunately, I think it will be a while (if ever) untill I get over to Germany to ride this thing.

Michael: Submit your site in the "contribute" section (link at the top) and then a news item (if you haven't already... I'm behind).

That track section is nuts. Looks like something right out of RCT. I really dig Intamin.

That first drop is an absolute FREAK SHOW. Just look at that.......

I can't wait to ride this bad boy in a few years. Looks like it could be the best steel ride on the planet if the rest of the ride is as rad as that first drop.

Don't touch the watch.
Where in Germany is this thing?
Something tells me we may get one of those hear in the states as early as 2003... Knott's???
All I have to say is, "INTAMIN ROCKS"!!!! This is the reason why they are my favorite roller coaster company. By the way, does anyone know the specs of this ride????
Does that drop actually twist like it looks like in the pic? Wow, that coaster looks incredible. Now, I gotta find some excuse to get to Germany!

How tall is this coaster? It doesn't look like it makes 200 feet.

WOW! This proves that a hyper drop can fit almost ANYWHERE. I am with DWeaver, Knott's + Intamin = Greatest Hyper EVER!!

The drop on this looks awesome!!!

V2, Deja Vu... how can it be better? Add Viper! Oh, wait. It's already there!
If my non-existent German is correct, I think it says that it is 203 feet high, .8 miles long and reaches speeds of 74.4 miles per hour.
thank you, next time i did it ;)
michael
It's 180 ft. tall and 3,609 ft. long.

Where did you get your info? On their website it said that it was 62 meters high (which translates to 203.36 feet).

Also, that it was 1.3 kilometers long, which translates to .806 miles long, which is 4,255.68 feet. *** This post was edited by Dirk on 4/23/2001. ***
I sure doesn't look like 203 feet.

Dirk's stats are exactly correct. :)

"You are the weakest link...goodbye".
If I'm not mistaken, thats the 90 degree twist that was talked about for Knotts...

-------------
It's still not tall enough!!!!!
Damn, If I didn't click that pic actually scream out-loud. Absolutely insane. All I can say is WOW!

A vertical drop doesn't mean it'll be a good coaster. It could be a big hunk of crap beyond that drop. I'm not impressed until I ride it.

Bigger isn't always better.
