Intamin: Like that girl you hate, but can't resist

Seems to me that Intamin only has problems when they try to push the envelope a little bit (just like every other company, save B&M for some reason).

But B&M doesn't push the limits Andy. ;)

Sure they can. But they also realize what economic times we're living in. They're smart, even if they don't wow enthusiasts. It's not a good time to be opening problematic rides. Other parks could be watching....;)

Tease Alert!

*Something* wicked this way comes...to the west coast in 2004!

Remember that Intamin will build anything, give them the cash and its yours. If a park wants a coaster that will launch out of the top of a fake mountain, you got it. You want a hyper built ontop of a building in a major city, you got it. You want a 750ft tall coaster they will do it too.

No one in the industry does what Intamin does, B&M and S&S Arrow wouldn't even think of taking on half the projects that Intamin does. I guess its better to have the problems then have no rides at all.

yes and nno dan, because the problems can also cause reliability issues with the parks and the people who decide which company to go to for a ride. IMO anyway

Vekoma rides are ok but they always have HUGE problems with operating in a productive way.

I haven't heard of too many Vekomas having problems relared to operation. I can't think of a time when I walked past a Vekoma coaster that was down (and I must admit, I've walked past a lot of 'em!

Flying Dutchman, Deja Vu, Invertigos, yeah no problems with operation.

If given the choice I'd choose a hamburger over a hotdog anyday of the week.

I wasn't aware that normal Invertigos had many problems. GIB's on the other hand are a different story. What problems do the normal Invertigos have?
They don't have near the problems the GIB's have but they do have many of the same downtime issues as well as cold weather issues.

Have U noticed that In the last three years intamin has exploded and i think that a lot of the credit should go to Cedar Point. Milly,Wicked, and Dragster! Man cedar point is putting Intamin on the map. NOW HOW ABOUT A WORKING RIDE NEXT YEAR, HINT HINT

Top Thrill Dragster, HERE I COME

I think it's the other way around, with Intamin putting parks on the map. Just look at Thorpe Park, Holiday Park, Six Flags Holland, LaQua, Six Flags New England/Darien Lake etc. etc.

By the way, Thorpe's Colossus does not run perfectly. It was down the entire time I was there until about 45 minutes before the park closed. I'm not complaining, though, my one ride was fantastic. :)
