Intamin "Inverted Shuttle Loop" for sale?

I have to say that I wish the River Rapids items that were from the MGM Grand Theme Park that are listed would end up at Knoebels.

It's a total pipe dream ... but the wooded Knoebels landscape screams for one of the best River Rapids out there... why not buy parts for cheap?

Just dreaming,

Mike

Makes me wonder if they really messed up and meant this invertigo at Ital http://www.italintl.com/category.php?category=Roller%20Coasters

I didnt convert euros to dollar but it is an '97.

Just a thought.

^Yah eithier that or it is a Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop Coaster. Becuase I went on RCDB.com, and the only one that hasn't been relocated is the on from PGA that now sits in SFMW's parking lot.

I really wish that Amusement Today's ads would list the parks the rides came from. Any guesses as to where the rides in that ad are from

1985 Zierer Fireball- Knott's maybe

1988 Huss Top Spin 1

1993 Sky Fun Sky Coaster

1993 Intamin/Arrow Family coaster

1993 Intamin flume

1996 Huss Jumping

I'm going with Moosh...PGA's Tidal Wave all things considered. The Invertigo is Vekoma, and I'm pretty sure they *market* their own rides even in the States, plus I thought that was drydocked in Greece or somewhere, right?

Bottom line: They had better become more realistic with their pricing on some of these used rides, we don't need recycled steel THAT bad, and it's a shame when they sit for even a couple years how unlikely it is that they'll EVER run again...:(

Take what you CAN get guys, many of these rides have LOTS of life in them, but only if you get someone to BUY them!

edit: Bet that Huss Jump is GAdv's *problematic* ride...;)

Im pretty sure the Intiman/Arrow Coaster is the Lightning Bolt at MGM Grand in Vegas. I'll bet a few of the other rides listed are from there as well....
OK everyone. This is the first Impulse. It is in Japan. You can see it here. http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail1251.htm

Edit: Sorry didn't notice that Moosh breifly mentioned it in his first post. *** Edited 10/29/2004 6:18:07 AM UTC by Bosshawk***

The coaster for sell is Lenear Gale in Japan, the worlds first Intamin Impulse!!

-Jake

First off, it's Linear Gale, second, how do you explain that low of a cost for something with a magnetic launch system. And the label "Ex-USA", in case you didn't notice, Japan is not part of the USA. Plus, there's no loop in Linear Gale. It's not Linear Gale.

could it be an intamin "space" shuttle looping starship?

I think so

Ah, Sam makes an interesting point...

That could be it, were any of them taken down in 1997?

More to the point - when did Great Adventure's go in? Could there be a second entrance to the new Kingda Ka area from beside GASM?

I think they would have been *erected* in '97, Clint...;)

But I like Sam's idea, the word "Shuttle" makes sense, and the word "Loop"....inverted too, kinda. Wow, in any case, that is TERRIBLE advertising....and probably reduces the odds of finding a buyer when they can't tell WHAT it is they're buying, ROFL...

If only Brian hadn't had all the info sent to the CPO, formly CPC...;)

Brett -

From where the Looping Starship is now to the KdK area, you'd have to take a pretty big trek around GASM, across a service road, through some parking areas etc.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Eh, ok trash that idea =)

--Brett, who's proud to have resurrected the CPC/CPO/CPWackos ;)

Ah, CPO. Those were the days(tm).
My proof is, I e-mailed them and they sent me info of Linear Gale in Japan.

angnjc: italintl is a good site. me and a few bored coworkers check that site out and are designing a park. if we had the cash, and it's surprising how little it would take, we could put together a fairly cool little park for under 10 mil...
i didn't see an Intamin, but i did see a Vekoma corkscrew...

The ad for the "Inverted Shuttle Loop" is in the latest issue of AM(that arrived 2 days ago). So that pretty much rules out the possibliity of a misprint.

The point I was trying to make was they had an Invertigo, and both sites COULD be sharing rides for sale, and there could have been a mistake. But yes I enjoying looking and fantasizing about that nice private park I WILL build when my turn to win the 100 million plus Power Ball Jackpot comes around....zzzzzzzzzzz..... Oh sorry, dreaming again!! ;)
