Intamin Gyro Swing

Has anyone ridden one. Is it like Delirium at PKI. Do you have pics. This is the one from intamins site.

Thanks

As I understand it, yes, it's similar to Delirium at PKI. No, I do not have pics.

Yes, the Intamin Gyro Swing (such as Maelstrom at Drayton Manor) is quite similar to the Giant Frisbee.

I love that whole genre of swinging spinning rides -- the Afterburner, Frisbee, Gyro Swing, and Giant Frisbee all rank among my favorite flatrides.

your not the only one.
While the Intamin version is very similar in looks to the Huss version, the Huss version spins faster (at least the one at PKI does.)

If I remember correctly, the Intamin version does provide a very strong float sensation that felt very similar to the feeling I feel while going up a spike on a Impulse coaster. This is something I haven't really felt as strong on the Huss version

Just my vote, mind you.....more SWING, less SPIN....Afterburner! :)
The only Intamin Gyro Swing I remember hearing about was one in First Drop a few issues back. I take it that there aren't too many of these things (right now, anyway)?

I've been on Maelstrom (Intamin) and Delirium (Huss). Personally I didn't find the rides to be much different at all, except for the obvious fact that Delirium is bigger and faster. If I didn't know they were different manufacturers I wouldn't have guessed they were...
