Installing Help

Ok, I got LL, and when I put the disk in the drive to install it, a box came up and said, "RollerCoasterTycoon is not installed, please install RCT before you install the add on." But i know RCT is installed because I can play it with CF just fine. So I tried to Uninstall RCT, and a box came up and said, "Program does not exist," and I cannot unistall or install any of it!! Can anyone help me?!?!

BTW, My computer had a virus a couple months back, could that have anything to do with it??

Thanx!

the virus probbaly has everything to do with it.
I'd suggest backing up your saved games and anything else you need, then going into your rct directory and manually deleting the 'rollercoaster tycoon" folder. re-starting your computer and installing from the regular game on up. I don't recommend this though if you're not too experienced with this kind of thing, and maybe someone else will have more info to help.

One last thing, i got a virus and the only thing I could do was wipe my ahrd drive. But a friend who knew what he was doing helped me, and it runs as good as it did when i first bought it, and now I know alot more about programs i dont need to I have alot more room on the hard drive. It's complicated, but wiping your hard drive say once a year will fix bugs, viruses, and tons more. if someone who knows how to do it can help, i recommend it.

Mmmm...hard drive wiping. Did one 2 months ago. Now I have 2 Norton Ghost images of my drive...one of a couple days ago (basically, everything I use installed, etc.), and one of a fresh system with all the drivers updated and installed, but no real applications. When I want to do a hard drive wipe and reinstall...put the CD in, hit the restore button, and in 35 minutes, with no input from me, I have a completely clean, updated, fresh system. If you have a CD burner to store the images, GET GHOST, it rocks.
