Installation question on RCT2

I just recieved an early Christmas present from Santa, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and I need some advice...

I currently have a very good functioning installtion of Roller Coaster Tycoon. I want to now install RCT2. Should I install RCT2 into it's own directory separate from my RCT install, or install into my current RCT directory? I don't want to loose any configuration and/or settings from my orginal RCT.

Why would installing RCT2 have any effect on your RCT1 files? when you install RCT2 it will create a new folder automatically which is seperate from the RCT1 folder just like any other PC software that you would install to your PC's hard drive.
