Installation Problem?? Need Help

I just got Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for my birthday last week. As you can guess I ran to my computer to install it. After it was installed I went to play the game and it looked like it was loading (Black Screen with Hourglass cursor) but then it took me back to my desktop and stopped running. Since then I exchanged it at the store but it didn't make a difference. I've tried Reinstalling it, checked my system requirements and I've tried most of the tips on the FAQ support website. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

This topic had already been discussed once, I'd look around at previous posts dating around the opening date of rct3! ;)
Alright. Sorry. Thanks Anyway.
Here are the assorted problem topics that were discussed, read through these and see if any of your problemsm are solved there, if not please write back.
Actually, if your problems weren't mentioned, contact Atari! There are a couple people on Coasterbuzz who know a few things about software, but you'd be wasting your time waiting for someone who doesn't even know the "internal" aspects of the game. Use the troubleshooting information provided with the game to contact Technical Support--they'll be able to solve the problem and point you in the right direction, as they're the only ones who truly understand the coding and back-end of the game.
PhantomTails, you are partially correct, they can only correct the problem if its on their end, they cannot fix a hardware conflict thats where us CB's help out in case one of us had a similar problem. Hardware conflicts, bad graphics driver, they might be able to point in the general direction...which may help.
Which is exactly why this is not TechSupportBuzz. It never ceases to amaze me that this is the first place people go for help with their games and computers.
Yea, but courtious members of the site who have experienced the same problem might know what the problem is and the direct way to fix it, as where atari, may pointi fingers to a POSSIBLE problem. Atari can't fix your graphics, or your driver, they can only guess and assume to best suit the customer, we may know what the problem is and help them out. Its the good thing about this site. *** Edited 5/3/2005 2:33:33 AM UTC by DC2Beltz3***
