Information on Crescent Park?

Well my grandma told me once about the one coaster she rode and she said it was at Crescent park.  I searched for hours diligently on the net, yet found very little.  My grandma was not sure if the coaster was at Crescent park or at another park nearby.  Did Crescent park have a coaster and do you have any other information on this long deceased park?

All i know is that Crescent Park is in East Providence and i live like 15 mins from there... all that remains is a Carousel and i dont know if thier was a coaster...

Crescent Park did indeed have roller coasters. The last one was a junior style coaster that was built inhouse , The Comet. The one that most of the old timers remember was dismantled in 1961. It had dated from the twenties, was blown down by the great hurricane of 1938, rebuilt and was in service until the aformentioned date.

My grandma did say that the coaster she rode was destroyed by a hurricane (yes she has been around that long) so that for sure was it.  Thanks for the info.
