Info on "Project 2003"

Alright, I know there are a few of you that don't find me as a reliable source, please don't be mean about this though, this is straight from the horse's mouth.

I went to CP today for an audition for their live shows. I went in and did my thing and then the person asked me if I knew what was on the internet about 'project 2003.' I said just that we speculated that it was under 400'. Well that is when it got wierd. The guy started laughing at me. I said that it reminded me of Xcelerator in KBF. Then the girl started laughing. The guy then said this, "That thing is so small, this one is over 400' and is twice as tall as Xcelerator, but don't tell anyone."

I smiled, told them to have a good day and then left.

Now if you believe that this post is a bunch of bull from me then don't comment, I was there, this conversation did happen and I thought that Xcelerator was 205...205 x 2 = 410 feet. So maybe.....

It's taller than that. They're not going to spend all that money to go just a few feet shy of S:TE :)

It seems to me that most everyone has thought that it would be around 400 feet even around 420 feet. I have heard some people say otherwise, but most don't. Not a real big surprise they say 410 feet.
Obviously the live shows audition manager was involved in the planning of the coaster, and would just naturally bring it up in the course of conversation after an audition, especially before the announcement *snore*.

Yes, Xcelerator is 200', with a drop dound to ground level. Dragster will be more than 400'. the media makes mistakes everywhere you look. Dragster is probably going to be somewhere in the range of 400' to 430'. Speed will be about 117MPH. The only things we might learn thats truly new in the annoucement are the real name, theme, track length, number of trains/capacity per train (this is practically unknown for most by now), capacity, and whether or not CP again claims to have the most rollercoasters on earth.

Well, some old lady sitting on a stool at the entrance to Wicked Twister told me in October that it would go 130mph, so since she works at CP that's definitely true.

LOL... If I worked at CP I would be telling people lies about "Project 2003" (and I'm sure thats what they're doing) just to create some fun with the public.

Moral: don't believe everything you hear from people working for CF... heck, don't believe anything, just sit tight and wait for the announcement

Believe it or not I ONCE heard a wild rumor from a park person that was true. 1991 - SFGAm: A sweeper guy told me they were building a looping suspended coaster for 1992. I laughed so hard at that crazy idea!......

I heard you go foward then repeat the whole trip backward like a Boomerang on Acid.

The Old hunchback Man with a glass eye selling churros by Raptor told me.

Do they sell churros at CP, if so mmmboy....I thought the Barvarian Nuts were enough!

Earth shattering news this is not.

Closing.
